Just got my notification tonight. Played a few rounds. Pretty fun. Nice graphics and blowing stuff up sure is fun. Looks like I'll be doing some more testing tomorrow night. Definitely need to get a handle on the controls. It basically throws you right into the game.

Hmmm. I'm so quick to get it because it has "Rainbow Six" on the label but I may wait for reviews on this one. Are most walls and ceilings destructible or only special "spots" where you are allowed to set demolitions?

It is a mix. Concrete and stone or metal walls, no. But there are wood and plaster walls which, if on defense, can be reinforced with barricades. It all depends on the material, which makes it balanced as you wouldn't be able to defend all points if everything was destructible. The game would definitely be fun if you had a committed group of online friends who work and communicate together. This game definitely needs communication to win. Las night I played a few matches and some teams were very communicative while others were not.

Plus, I would think blowing up concrete, stone, or metal walls aren't really viable options either...

Any word if this will get an single player campaign at launch?

Why oh why don't they give us an up to date version of the original game set???
I would buy it in an instant...

Currently the modes in the beta are 5v5, one defender, one attacker. Start of the round the attackers drive little drone vehicles into the building to scope out the objective (defenders can destroy) and the defenders prep their defenses by barricading doors, walls, laying down barbed wire etc.

There is a new mode just added today where you play as a team against AI that has varying difficulties. No clue on Single-player.
