When Windows10 arrived last month, I decided to reformat all my HDDs and to reinstall everything.
I installed FSX SE, bought Aktive Sky Next, DX10 Fixer, Orbx Global and downloaded every scenery for the Province of Québec

Took me about 1 week to install everything, configure and test, and I'm quite satisfied with the result.
So now on, I'm doing in FSX what my daily job is:
Dispatching Quebec's Medevac CL-601 to every destination we go, and with real weather, real flight plans, real fuel, etc...
I modified quite a lot the original Premier Aircraft Design's CL-604 to be as close as possible as our CL-601.
The aircraft is quite old for FSX standart (I think it's a FS2004 model) and I had to tweak a lot of graphical things to get everything rights.
The plane performences is not perfect, but I made them closer to the real thing. there is still some tweaks that needs to be done though.

So here it is, my 1st real flight. It's the 1st leg of the flight.
In this scenario, there is 1 patient to pick up @CYGR (Iles de la Madeleine)
There is ALWAYS 1 doctor and 1 nurse onboard

Because we're Medevac, we don't have to follow airways and can go Direct from point to point
The only exception is at the departure from CYUL(Montréal) and CYQB (Québec) because of the traffic
+ STARs

ETD: 9:50AM EST 22th of september2015
Fuel: 8000lbs (will be enough for the whole trip without refueling)
Route: DCT YQB DCT FLEUR DCT YGR DCT
FL370 @Mach 0.80

IRL my office is the whole set of windows between the 2 doors.
Plane is fueled, and ready to taxi

Rotate and takeoff
The Challenger have very powerfull engines.
Usually pilots,after taking off, are climbing @300kts until 10 000'
After that, pitch down to about 4-5 degrees until Cruise lvl. It gives them about Mach 0.76 on climb

For the descent, we use 2,5 X Cruise LVL (+1nm/10kt tailwind / -1nm/10kt headwind)
I was supposed to start at 98nm but I was time accelerated X4 and was not quick enough..... rolleyes

______________________________________________________

During descend they keep Mach 0.80 until 360kt IAS (barberpole), than 360kt until 15000'
@ 15000' they put it to idle, and drag alone will slow the jet.
@10nm from destination it should be @200kt

_________________________________________________________

@200kt, flaps down 20
@197kt gear down
@180kt flaps 30
@160kt flaps 45

should stabilized @160kt with a bit of thrust (about 55% N1)

__________________________________________________________

winds are calm
will land on runway 07 (lenght:4500')
VRef over Threshold
cut power
don't flare until very low. Because the Challenger don't have slats it has a tendency to float if you flare too much

__________________________________________________________
Reverse thrust must be closed under 60kt
a little brake.... and VOILA!

I hope you enjoyed
I'll post the leg back CYGR-CYQB this week
Cheers

Very nice. Looks more like a CL604 with the EFIS displays than a 601 though.

I wish I would be good enough to redo the cockpit frown

It must be pretty cool to have a job you love so much that when you go home you can do it all over again in your spare time! [/jealousy]

looks very modernishy-phoney-windows eighty-tabletty like

I'm ''just'' a flight dispatcher, so I don't get to fly often IRL.

I guess that if I was a real pilot, doing between 10 to 14 hours of duty/day, I would not lose my time on a false plane when I can fly the real one screwy

But yes, I love my job thumbsup

Dispatch is an important part of the mission, don't underestimate your part in it. yep
