The guy has updated their plans, now he aim for a entire joystick.

Seems that will use the same electronics of MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedal - the MFG SiMM8Rge controller.

Adjustable coils and damper pressures. More specifications there:

BTW - The standalone F-18 and others grips for Warthog/X-55 bases still planed.

Can't wait to see all this stuff enter production...and to think it started out of a project to make F/A-18 grips for Cougar and Warthog sticks!

That said, I wish he had some grips for VKB Black Mamba bases planned, considering that the existing TM grip adapter requires replacing the connector shaft on the stick grip.

Sorry for the silence folks, but as usual, silence means work.

Turned out an industrial size non-metal laser cutter is a big priority. There will be engravings on the grips and a panel on the throttles, along with actual cockpit panels I plan on making. Also my custom 3d printer is 80% laser cut plexiglass and many other tools and jigs also. I had plans to outsource the cutting, but quantities became too large, or their lasers too small and too expensive.

So, for the last month or two I've been designing my own 2x3m laser cutter, which will in turn be used to make several 3d printers and panels and engravings needed on all the products. There's also a custom packaging foam cutting machine, cnc painting machine and many other tools I need to design and fabricate myself in order to make this project industrially and financially viable. That is, on the scale I have in mind at least.

Parts are arriving, things are in motion. But, in that 1% chance the large scale plan doesn't work out, I'll just switch to plan B and start producing these on a smaller scale, with some outsourcing and with a little less profit.

So don't worry. They're coming one way or the other. I have some backups, so in case my laser cutter runs into problems or delays, I have already outsourced parts for a few 3d printers so I can proceed with the grips themselves. They should be operational next month, so I hope to have functioning warthog grips out there by the end of this year.

No software, just a HID device using Windows drivers.

Anyway you can plug a F-18, Mig-21... Replika grip on Warthog base, will be "PnP'.

What a really want is a new set the gimbals strong enough a for long stick and Warthog compatible. Right now I am not interested on a grip. I will like to use TARGET and the Warthog grip but hack the Warthog's base to receive the input from the new gimbals.

I think this product could have good demand from Warthog's owners. Does Someone know which is the sensor the joystick uses?

This "tri-axis SPI interface 14 bit resolution hall-sensor" indicate Melexis MLX90333 - the same used in Warthog/T.16000M.

AFAIK - Replika Grips will use MFG electronics - Crosswind Pedals - that start use Melexis MLX90333 at some time.
More info about MFG electronics in this newsletter: http://mfg.simundza.com/assets/downloads/MFG%20Newsletter%20March%202015%20general.pdf

Both MFG and Replika Grips are from Croatia.

So I take it he's teaming up with MFG?

That's good news if so, Milan is great to work with, very professional and passionate about the hobby.

I suspect this stick/grip will be very expensive, (I could see the whole kit costing close to $1k shipped to your door) but worth every penny!

Wow! What a neat and unique idea to propose clamping those sticks to your desk. That's game-changing, IMHO.
