SABOW

I took out the 2 enemy tanks!! Notice the spent shell behind the tank. It also has a broken track (LHS) courtesy of my sabot!

Notice the dead tank on the left. The crew tried to abandon the tank when it was badly damaged but i introduced them to my coax! See one member dead next to the tank in a pool of blood

Cool shot, that spent round is a very nice detail.
Soviet tanks have an autoloader don't they, can you actually see the shell being ejected? smile

This is Bobby Rahal, thanks for playing the trial version of Microsoft's CART Precision Racing

Incredible level of detail and immersion. The dev’s have worked long and hard on this.

Not all of them.

The T62 has the auto eject system. Yes the spent shell comes out the back after the hatch opens and lands on the ground. Very immersive.

This sim has so much it would take too long to list. There is a playable demo. It is an old version and so is missing content and many new additions. However it will give you an insight into this excellent sim. Here’s the link:

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
If it wouldn't look a bit 2010ish and had such a steep learning curve it would be already on my hard drive...

My graphics are set to medium as my pc is not so great. It can and does look better. It has excellent physics as well as great damage modelling. As for a steep learning curve. I don't think it does. There is a great set of tutorials as well as a battle generator that allows you to quickly create a battle or by making the enemy a “Target” you can practice as they will not kill you. It is an excellent tank sim in my opinion and I have played most of them out there.

Regards

Hi Asid,

Can you give the links for the tutorials?
I have the old version of this game and somehow I can not get past the steep learning curve.
Thanks.

Hi Turta

You have the DVD version? Have you applied the April 2015 patch?

Patch here:
Only for non-Gamersgate/non-Steam versions:
http://graviteam.com/games/SABOW.html?action=downloads

Do you have TeamSpeak? If so I am on TS now and will be for a while. I can help you there smile

Regards

That`s right. All their games have it. What put me of of SABOW was the UI and the mix of tactical gameplay and actual driving the tank. I couldn`t figured out, what the hell my guys are doing and so on. I may should have read the manual a little bit more, if there is one?
Also the lack of MP is a downer for me. I really would like to drive tanks in coop with my friends. No need for severall play-modes or anything else. Just playing coop with friends against the AI would do it for me.
To bad Graviteam still haven`t changed their mind about MP, AFAIK.

There is an in-game tutorial as well.

Hi tirta

The bandwidth requirements are low. See here: Link

TeamSpeak is free. Why not give it a try ?
