Just got some Saitek stuff from a friend and want to know how you guys are setting it all up. I have the yoke, two switch/radio boxes, two throttle sections and some other brand pedals. The problem is if I plug them all into the back of the yoke and use the one yoke usb cable to pc I get a power warning and some of the units will not function. I found I have to divide the usb cables into several inputs on the pc to get enough power.

Question is there a real powered extension usb port that really works? I have a so called power usb port for five inputs but it still gets the power warning so I think it is not really powered.

Also what is a good rack to mount all this too if I do not use a desk?

Is your "powered" usb port connected only to the PC or does it have a separate power cable?

It has a wall wart for power but it must be just to cheap. I want to know if there is one that will work and provide actual power to the usb ports.

What kind do you have? I got an Aukey powered one that has 7 usb slots. After reading their manual I was worried i'd get low power warnings on mine, but haven't run into any issues yet, although at most I have 5 things plugged in.

It certainly provides power to the usb ports, since it won't run as a hub unless it's plugged in. The only issue is finding out how much power you need, they list every device except of course controllers.

I believe the max is 5v 900mA combined on that particular one. Only way to truly know is to figure out how many mA the devices draw I suppose... Either way there are still limits to powered ones, best guess is to maybe contact Saitek and see if they can get you how much power they draw

Warbirds, I was also experiencing low power problems with a couple Saitek controllers.

Check out this powered ORICO hub that I REALLY like ...

It has 10 USB 3.0 ports and one 5V2A charging port. LOADS of power. I have 8 controllers currently plugged into it.
