My example is in my signature, in my head Patton's line from the 1970 film of the same name was 'Rommel you magnificent b****** I READ YOUR GODDAMN BOOK!'

Looked it up on YouTube and turns out he only yells 'I READ YOUR BOOK!'

How 'bout you?
Mishearing that is, not reading Infanterie Greift An wink

The line where Patton DOES say "goddamn" is in reponse to the Army chaplain who seems incredulous and asks Patton if he actually finds time to read the Bible. Patton says "I most certainly do. Every goddamn day". biggrin

Thanks! Patton was a great film even if it was a bit weird seeing Patton tanks dressed up (rather poorly) as panzers.

Yeah that's the trade-off when you don't have CGI. You either have to use the equipment that is readily available or you have to build your own. The former is the much cheaper option so that's what most film productions from that era did.

The final scene in Whiplash.

Fletcher comes over to Neimann while he's playing his final solo saying "What are you doing man?!"

Neimann replies with "I'll cue you!", but everyone I watched it with thought he said "I'll kill you!"

I guess because "cueing someone" isn't something you'd be familiar with if you weren't a musician.

That's the great thing about Russian films. So many T-34s, a bit like the armoured equivalent to 'Battle of Britain' awful film, great equipment and action.

Does misremembering which movie the quote was in count? I recently told a co-wroker that Johnny Two-Times "Gotta get the papers, get the papers" was without a doubt from Johnny Dangerously, when of course it was Goodfellas, as she had confidently tried to explain to me. D'oh!

No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

Well, misheard and misremembered are two separate things.

Offhand I can't think of any, but I know it's happened.
