It's not DCS level of realism but, I believe, it's the first mainstream flight sim about the flying Tigers in WW2 China. And it looks good, for lightweight sim that is.

That looks rather terrible to be honest. Some okay games on the PS2, and the recent Ace Combat games went downhill. It is really sad that no one can make a decent flight combat game these days. I don't count War Thunder or Ace Combat Infinity because those are free to play MMOs.
I am not a fan of WWI or WWII as much as I try to like them. We're essentially left with study sims (DCS) and nothing in between for those of us who like modern aircraft.

Zero interest. This is why I still have IL2-1946 installed.

Ace Combat 1942. Nothing wrong with that and as an arcade it does look similar to Ace Combat, which I enjoyed so many years ago. But I prefer a little more "sim" in my flight sim entertainment.

That even makes Ace Combat look like a flight sim. The nice thing about the old Ace Combats is that they essentially never took control away from the player, and you were given tasks, a large map and a decent travel distance to traverse. You could then play at your own pace and hit certain areas in any order. These new games just throw stuff in your face. The flight looks very bad to. All in all, that looks more like a vehicle section of an FPS game than a flight combat shooters.
I'd love to play a modernized version of this:
*Modernized as in slightly better flight dynamics, AI and graphics. Maybe a bit more diversity in weapon handling. Keep the over the top action, achievements and whatnot out of it.
