Watched this game show in the 70's and I've seen just a few episodes in the last decade or so. The wife and I were channel surfing so we stopped and watched for a bit.
The question was something like "Name a part of your body that doesn't get much sunlight". The contestants answered things like "My private area", "My butt" and "My boobs".
Those answers were correct but they displayed on the board like this:
Edit: Since the screenshot is in the spoiler...make sure to scroll down to see all the answers

Yikes...that isn't the "Family" Feud i remember! The wife and I chuckled though...but were more surprised then anything else.
New Format?

I think it's mandatory to have something like that in nearly every question now
Not sure it's particularly a new format, or just people are much more open to saying that sort of thing when asked.
Me and the wife usually watch an episode each night, when the had the celebrity version on the other month it was rather funny watching the NFL players who were trying their hardest not to say anything crude, but the questions and answers were such that it was impossible, it was amusingly awkward. And of course the Patriots player got the question about Deflating things with the only reasonable answer left being Balls
I remember when you couldn't say B%&*$# or Ass or Ass#%& or Son of a B%&*$# in any prime time broadcast TV shows.
Now you can actually hear those words in prime time broadcast TV sitcoms and series.
It won't be long before F and MF and any variations of them will also be allowed.

And yet Richard Dawson back in the 70's and 80's kissed every female contestant on the lips. wtf?

I don't watch it, just compilation videos, but Steve Harvey does crack me up. The show is pretty much about the "near miss" turning an innocent answer innappropriate. That started a long time ago. Remember the old 1960's/70's Newleywed Game when they asked "where is the most unusual place you've ever had sex?" And the woman without thinking just says "in the butt?". LOL (CLASSIC) This is based on that.
I don't watch game shows aside from when I used to watch Jeopardy (not much anymore since the kids were born). It's the original reality show and I find them just as banal.

I'll still catch the occasional airing of "Jeopardy" when I'm having dinner. I'm happy to see that its format hasn't changed much since the 90's.

LOL Speaking of Vanna White, I think she sleeps in an oxygen chamber considering that she's looked the same for the past 25 years or so.

Not going to complain about Jeopardy. My wife walked off the set with a decent amount of money a few years ago. They treated the family members like criminals but hey it was worth the payday.
The road less traveled is filled with fewer needy people.

I wish I got paid the salary she does for simply turning letter squares.
