rant-on-off
Geez I wish she would stay out of my garage! It takes me 3x as long to do a project because I spend the extra looking for my stuff. I bought all new screwdrivers with red handles and told her these are mine, and hers are the old ones with blue handles and worn tips from digging up dandelions; now my red handles are hardly to be found and the ones I can are dull. I buy work gloves and write on them "FOR MEN NAMED STEVE ONLY" and when I use them they are full of yard debris and have holes in the finger tips. The other day she shedevil was using the drill to screw in lattice and the driver was a #1 and it kept slipping off the screw heads so I took the drill and went looking for a #2 driver and ten minutes later I took the drill back to her with the #1 driver in it because I could not find any more bit drivers except too big #3s. I don't mind if someone uses my tools, as long as I can't tell that they did!

ahh, much better now. Project is done, time for a beer. beercheers New flood light below the new flagpole -- next is to bury an underground AC line out to it. Hmmm, where's my pick?

I walked in on my Wife hanging up a curtain on the bedroom door last night.
She was picking up the cordless drill, and I could see from across the room it had no battery on it. yep

I'm used to it. Thankfully, she can't get to the firearms. Hahah.

it is not so bad - thankfully she did not use your gaming PC - that is reason for a divorce.

My Wife is actually very good with the Power and Hand tools. Sometimes she doesn't use them right, but that is not for lack of trying. When it comes to the compound miter saw, it is all hers. She can measure and cut with the best carpenters. Nail guns, she rocks them. She recently discovered the pin-nailer.

Together we have remodeled the Grant Estate. I'm the "Here, hold this!" Guy.

Ice Cold in Alex or Eating in ...
Mine is quite handy with a MIG or TIG she can even use the lathe, I have no worries about her using my tools. She loves to paint and all that goes with it, she has been helping the middle son finish off the woodwork in his wife's new built house for the past week. Then again she has worked in the construction industry since she was 20.

Now, my youngest son on the other hand, I could not tell you the amount he has lost mislaid or otherwise smile he is a great welder though, he is still at school and has a part time job with a steel construction company and they want him when he finishes school next summer.

Today I asked him where my impact driver was... "whas dat?" you know the tool you borrowed to get the bits off your car... "I don't know what that is, never seen it" had to buy a new one this morning

I hope he grows out of this phase soon, it's getting expensive!

A visiting niece asked us recently how we communicated before texting and cell phones.

Hmm. If a phone wasn't convenient we'd leave notes on each other's windshields...

Didn't need that newfangled text messaging crap.

As long as it wasn't raining when you went to leave that note, of course. smile

I always just called regular phone to regular phone. It worked fine for decades.
