Just watched this on Netflix for the second time. Love this movie!

While it rips historical accuracy to shreds, I have to agree. It gives you a feel for the life of a WWI pilot in my opinion. Have watched it numerous times.

Don't read the book.
It reveals something that may ruin the movie for you.

I have some on DVD, like blue max/Redbaron/flyboys, but I think Aces High is the best.

I think I prefer Aces High to The Blue Max as well.

I loved Ace's High. Maybe not better than Blue Max but certainly in the same class.

I even enjoyed Zeppelin.

But the only WWI air movie I've ever seen that was worse the Flyboys was Lafayette Escadrille.

I love the song. I love that album. Although Maiden definitely isn't for everyone!

Ok if we are throwing out movies here the Errol Flynn version of "Dawn Patrol" is probably my favorite movie tied with the aforementioned "Blue Max."

I've had "Blue Max" in my netflix queue for over a year waiting for it on a dvd. Just this week it became available and should be in the mailbox on Monday. I'll have to add in some of the others mentioned above which will probably thrill my wife to no end...Hahaha...she did like "Fly Boys".
