Hi all,

Have seen this posted about before on other forums but haven't found a solution yet. Flying the CoD Redux campaign Nice work BTW!), both the Spit and Hurri have the virtual stick in the cockpit displaced slightly right in game when my RL stick is physically centered. Calibration is spot on and in the axes settings in Options it looks calibrated/centers correctly as well, but still the right roll in game.

Please understand I know all about torque/assymetric thrust/P factor, RAF fighters don't have aileron trim, etc, this is not the game physics, just simply the ailerons are deflected due to the virtual stick being slightly right of center when my RL stick is centered. Pain in the butt to fly around with continuous slight left joystick pressure to center the virtual stick.

Any ideas? From internet searches I know I'm not the only one with this problem but haven't found a cure yet.

Use of rudder trim just results in a skidding aircraft.

Roll me overer, in Cliffs of Doverer....roll me over lay me down and do it again....

Cheers!

Hurricane rudder is deflected slight to the right (when AI take control it center the rudder)... smile

I never pay atention to ailerons, but since you notice, I chek and in flight, trim/rudder centered, hands-off:

Some users say that are joystick calibration problemen...

Here I see this with two differente joysticks.

It's suppose that ailerons are trimed for specific (cruise) speed, because if you reduce throttle the plane almost fly straight. Perhaps at full throttle the aileron trim tabs force stick right...

I noticed that as well, but I assumed it was just engine torque or something. Come to think of it I never paid attention to whether it changes at different power settings/speeds or not...

If it was torque my Hurri should roll left and not right. Turned off torque effects and the plane still rolls right.

Try going into aircraft control, axis, and changing the sensitivity and dead zone settings. This should help some. BTW, I have to calibrate joystick with Windows 8 every time. POS OS if you ask me.

the Hurricane in particaulr will roll on the aileron axis even when the aircrfat is trimmed.
This is, apparently historical. There are accounts of Hurricane pilots tying a small length of rope to the trailing edge of one wing in order to stop this roll, I just can't find the reference where I first read this!

The spitfire on the other hand, you can trim out nicely with rudder and it will not roll.
