I had some time to spare today so I downloaded the beta version of WOT.
I tried the PC version. and have to say I am finding the Xbox version better,
the Xbox one version is in HD looks pretty good the models look sharper but there still not as good as war thunders.
It downloads very quickly you can even play as its downloading
The game plays pretty good finding a game is easy the set up is basically idiot prove it must be I had no issues getting it working.
It works really well with the Xbox controller, IMO its worth checking out.

Yeah, I'd been wanting to try this. I downloaded it and when I tried to play it, I was prompted to plug my cable box in. Huh?!?!? I'd never gotten a prompt like that before. The tv I used for my Xbox is dedicated to the xbox only and is not running through my cable box or anything else.

Why the hell would it need a cable connection?

Edit:
Tried it again last night and it worked. I just did the training mission. I'm hoping you can re-map the controls, I didn't like them.

Spent another couple of hours on it today.
Still enjoying it but there's a couple of things that I find annoying.
Money talks and it really does in this game you can tell the guys who have spent money on premium models.
Try taking on tiger tanks in a T38.even the upgraded version, Hit one tiger five times didn't even scratch the paint
But in fairness even with the small amount of time I have put in I have upgraded three times I am now
commanding a Hertzer so you can progress with out spending real money but you will need to put the time in
If you like the game, it mite be worth spending a little and saving your self some time
so far there seem to be a younger crowed playing but its early days hoping when its fully online I will be able to find an older
Group who want to use RL tactics even though some of the younger players are pretty good they use cover shoot and scoot
they have a very simplified CC system to communicate with your team mates.
may be if there's support we could put together a Sim HQ team mite be fun
If interested post on this page or PM me.
There may be some experienced PC player coming over but I would say the majority are newbies.

I've been playing it for over a week now and thou I would prefer a little more hardcore armor action, with friends and a good team it can be very fun.

+1 magnum.
Looking at the options menu in game it mite be possible to add some more elements of realism to the game.
Not sure if the player will be able to host his own game.
If so great a more mature player could put a casual team together and give it a try.
