I have been experimenting with the workshop advanced settings for Scale and Null pertaining to Pitch, Roll, and Rudder. (I'm using joystick twist for rudder instead of pedals)

So far my results have not been as I had hoped.

If any other pilots are using the T.16000M with advanced settings would you be willing to share them?

Much appreciated.

I have that stick and have just recently been using the "Advanced Settings" to increase the null zone on the rudder so that I would stop using it accidently as I manuvered in combat.

I am not sure what results you are looking for but playing with the null zone, by increasing the number, has worked just fine.
Don't be afraid to really increase or decrease the default number - you can go from 0-200 - and depending on what you are trying to do you may really have to jack it up.

Thanks Duke!

I saw your earlier post and that got me to thinking about how I might balance or find a good and smooth response curve by the combination of scale and null.

By default in the workshop they are all set for, scale 64 and null 36 for roll, pitch, and rudder.

If I wanted to increase sensitivity in pitch and roll but still have a smooth curve could I set them for say 180 scale and 72 null?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have a bad time during dog fights. I have an EA on my tail and my flying becomes very jerky and possibly caused by using too much twist (rudder) under the duress of combat.

I know it take lots of practice which I have been doing but I thought maybe my joystick settings might help in the dog fighting area some how.

I watch the video's that many people make here and their flying and dog fighting is so beautiful and smooth while my dog fighting looks like a drunk running into a bar table and knocking over 5 pitchers of cheer.

I also thought about playing with the Target program from Thrustmaster that can be used for many fine tuning adjustments.

Well, thanks and back to the adventure of WOFF!

Hello fellow Pilots,

Is anyone that is using a T.16000M possibly willing to share their bank, pitch, rudder advanced settings?

I have still been experimenting with scale and null and so far cannot find a good combination although I have some improvement with my stick.

For me (and maybe it's my age) I have always had trouble with the Woff flight models and that is not a criticism and I know they will greatly vary depending upon what bus you are flying. I fly every bus in the realistic mode.

I flew ROF for about a year before I purchased WOFF and I found ROF's flight model much easier to dog fight with but as most of you know, the ROF AI is very broken and support is not good.

I own all the additions and updates for the WOFF adventure and I will never give up on it.

I just need some advice or tips.

And I'm also seriously considering Track IR.

Thanks for your time.

Yes Track IR is an absolute must, in my opinion.
Cheers

I have pitch and roll at 100 and small null of 15.

Also deffo get the trackIR (or some sort of headtracking). Once you get that level of immersion, you won't want to go back. It's like an upgrade for all of your sims.

Thanks Robert and devere!!

I will be getting track IR very soon and I will try the settings you mentioned Devere and I remember Duke was setting his rudder null fairly high.

Thanks very much for your ideas.

NP Tango. I like a fast response to my inputs, so have just enough null to cancel out any twitchyness. No doubt you will find something to your satisfaction, as it really is a 'feel' thing.

And you will not regret grabbing TIR - really is whole next level stuff.

Thanks again Devere and you are right it is a feel thing about plane response and stick input.

I'll take to the clouds tonight and experience another mission with RFC 11 and try your settings.

But I noticed that all the default settings for pitch, roll, and rudder are scale 64 and null 36.

Thirty six is over half of 64 so it seems to me that the devs had a reason and did extensive testing to come up with this default which if not modified would apply to every air craft.

I also remember that Robert has just released a flight model mod that even though it does not apply to the F2B that RFC 11 is flying, I will keep that in mind when trying a Jasta squadron.

Well, time for some dead engine landings from 8000 feet in QC to practice for those random failures.

Thank you for the welcome CW3SF!!

I'm in the younger old geezer squad as I am only 66.

By "old" I meant my eye sight.

Last year I had to buy progressive glasses for driving and 4 degrees of prisim "out" in each eye as objects on my left begin to appear closer to my center of vision.

That made driving a bit scary but fortunately I did not cause any collisions.

The Woffers are for sure a great family of folks.

Wings Over Flanders Fields is the most beautiful and exciting WWI adventure I have ever experienced.

The Campaign module alone is more than worth the reasonable price.

I cannot imagine the amount of development and testing work that went into producing it!

I wish you many smooth landings!
