Not buying things just for the sake of buying... I'll buy full price for a WWII campaign and map with all the correct vehicles and settings, apart from that I want nothing more from them... and yes, it's going to be a heck of a long wait I'm thinking

Yea, and being an old fart here, they will need to prop me up in my flight chair with straps just so I can say I was able to fly DCS WWII with a correct map etc.

Speaking of dynamic campaign systems, has anyone tried the Guardians of the Caucasus campaign for the MiG-21? I'm seriously tempted to buy that module because of that campaign, so... what's your opinion, guys?

I don't fly too much MP, but is there/are there MP servers running MiG-15 vs. F-86 and, if so, are they reasonably populated? I'd like to pick up the MiG but only if there's something to do with it.

They can't. Quite a few people have already paid for it.

Grabbed the Sabre. Sure it doesn't fit jack diddly as far as the DCS theatre but damn is that thing simple and fun to fly. Within a day I had the controls down (whopping 2 switches to start) and was shooting down migs.

There were a few when the MiG-15 was new who were reasonable enough to recognise the visibility issues and enabled labels and/or the F10 map so you got a decent chance of finding anyone, but they seem to be entirely gone. Now I only tend to find one or two, the names of which I shan't mention to avoid offending them, because I think they apply outright stupid rules, such as no EWR for anyone/only for the Sabres (who obviously had the worst IRL over MiG Alley), no F10 map, places the opposing teams on bases ridiculously far apart thus further aggravating the issue of finding each other, and as in one horrible example decided to intentionally give the Sabres Sidewinders.

Thanks for the heads up, Scrim. I guess I'll pass for now. I do have the Sabre already. I want the MiG but if I'm not going to fly it then what's the point?

Yeah, that's what I'm feeling about both the Sabre and the MiG at this stage. I suppose it's unfair to blame BST for what ED messed up regarding visibility and damage modeling, but they could at least have had the decency of getting the manuals done by this stage.

Hopefully 1.5 will sort out the visibility issues to the point where the MP community starts enjoying them again, which it obviously isn't right now since you'd struggle to find a Korean war server with more than 1 human player at any stage of the day.

I saw it, was intending to grab the MiG15, and forgot till now.

Oh well, next time around I guess.
