2 attempts to DL....then......SUCCESS


installed it into an ancient XP laptop (w vid chip)....

....and after lowering the resolution to 600X800


IT WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!




no joystick yet,but this is the first working EAW install ive had in 6 years!!!

@komemiute; I'm not sure if the hub is the problem or not, instead of directly plugging in the controls separately.



Whats the order of your devices in Windows OS?
(assuming Win7) Under Control Panel-Devices and Printers-(right click on the main controller) and click game controller settings.

Are they in order like?
Stick
Throttle
Rudder


Heres a Thrustmaster T Flight Stick X setup just for an example

With Shogun suggestion now I got rudders working, throttle still unresponsive...



Well it's a bit... articulated. I got Joystick, Rudder and throttle.

Just... all in between there's a monitor, an external HDD and the mouse...

By the looks of it your throttle is split left and right?

Anyhow what do you have your Stick Device= value at 0 or 1?
Try setting the Throttle Device=1 or 2 depending on what your stick is set at.

Is that TrackIR setup for mouse emulation BTW?

Try to find the order there listed, once you highlight the joystick icon, right click on it and pick Game Controller settings...

Heya real nice.. finally had a chance for a few missions and what a great sim this was!

Ok, so is there anything one can do with the .ini file to improve the graphics further? I'm already running nGlide and 1920x1080. Am I missing anything if I don't edit the .ini file? Don't wanna miss out on any of the enhancements since I haven't been keeping track of things. I want this to look the best it can!

Did you ever get 140 installed? I received no feedback from you in the PMs.

I've just made a post the their forum, in the vain hope there might be someone still alive who remembers Glide 3 code!

Wouldn't it be nice to have 512 graphics in Glide.

The gun sounds dissapear when i launch 2nd mission. I have to exit the game and start again and the 1st mission is ok and 2nd mission is without gun sounds again.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Which version of the exe, which theatre and which planeset? With details I can try to replicate the problem to check it out. The mission details would be helpful

I encountered a no gun sound on the previous build of EAW 140 new map.
I couldn't remember the selections I chose so I never said anything.
I do remember I picked one selection from each column in the dir picker thing, which was unnecessary I know now for offline plane.


EDIT: I just tried 140 build 58NewMap and picked HawkWMSL and planeset 4 I occasional get no gun sound when running instant action. (It also happens in single mission) I noticed that the force feedback for the guns is not present when there's no gun sound. Also the Gear sound is gone to at the same time with no forces for locked gear.

I also am getting under the same picks , the wrong wing views, or there all messed up, textures are misaligned.
