Looking at next week... my current projects are pretty much taking priority over Arma 3 as well as other stuff, so next gun update will probably only add the new grenades and nothing more to keep it going. I can't focus on A3 or much else for the moment so updates and additions will come out sparingly and mainly "maintenance" updates for my A3 stuff. I may look into Raven Lifter use with the mod as I'm getting beat up for some Fast Rope capability (which is something I do need to add) but that may come out within a few days. I simply can't focus on Arma 3 right now for the short term. When I get to a point where I can put more work into A3 I'll let you know but don't expect much next week for my Weapons Pack or UH-60s.

Got a fan video of sorts, as one of the players in this group worked out a sweet rappeling script, but is bogarting it (his stuff so...) but still a cool video:

Back in Action finally.... OKay before the wipe (and thanks Miller!) I got some suggestions and a bug report:

- Wheels. Working on that, things are slowing up on one project so it's given me some "room" to start working on other stuff again.. Once I figure that out I'll get it out.

- FLIR: I don't know what the deelio is as I set it up like everybody else and no worky, so I'm not doing something right.

I forgot the suggestions and such, like JSRS support and even the sounds were the wrong pitch. I used the default stuff from A3 so right now it'll be what t is until I can fully worry about it. Not sure what else is in my future as I put out feelers for a couple things so not sure how it'll affect A3 work.

Anyway, here's some M40 Grenade (early model, but overall the same) as based on the concept work for Avatar/Elysium by Aaron Beck as I thought his grenade ideas were pretty cool and figured it would make a bit more sense:

And somebod suggested I go wtih a more green frame for the MCR, so fgured that wouldn't be a bad idea overall:

And on the helo front, starting on an MH-60S Knighthawk:

http://562.50megs.com/Arma3/wip1079.jpg

Overall it seems to be pretty okay for a basic US Navy scheme and color...

Managed to fix the mapping and texture, though I'll tweak the green, as it's looking much better than it was before....

More work, still have to clean up the sides a bit, not as flat as I want them:

Anyway, more M40 in-game looks:

And honestly not trying to hide anything, I picked a retarded spot to take a screenie but really, it doesn't need to be highly detailed.

In other news, I managed to fix the vehicle issue and Zeus, so the Techinicals and Gun Trucks (respectively) will be able to be placed via Zeus now.

Redid the stock area on the MCR and in my opinion turned out better as a redo (along with some smoothing as well as a "natural" look and shape, which was far better than before:

The left side looks a bit funky still but overall better:

And a "PKM Tactical" variant. Also the Persian Islamic Front soldiers will swap out for these, with an ARCO and an IR pointer instead of the Zafirs:

Did some helo work earlier and came up with a couple KnightHawk versions (MH-60S):

First is the standard "Transport" version that is used mainly for VERTREP and so on, so it's basically a retextured UH-60M:

http://562.50megs.com/Arma3/wip1101.jpg

http://562.50megs.com/Arma3/wip1102.jpg

As well as an "Insertion" version with seating like the MH-60M:

Some more tweaks, I'll have to make the antennas near the rotor mast as i have a few decent shots in that area:

More redecorating and adjustment, removed the fuselage antenna from the boom and also filling in and modeling the basic mount for the FLIR. Once I figure out how to get it working I'll see about he Insertion version. The Navy does have a gunship configuration but for now I'm going to hold off on it, until later. Though I will remodel the flare dispensers to what the Navy has vs. the US Army version.

And a better look of the M40 grenade, nothing special really:

Still working on a basic look, later on I'll remodel the antennae and such:

Also for the Transport version I decided to strip the countermeasures systems (the "IR dazzler" to the rear of the rotor mast, as well as the flare boxes (as well as the memory points).

On the flip side... been talking with toade2k about a guy who contacted me on Steam (Agent47.Xelam48 is is current name before I blocked him) and requested some weapon work done. While I don't have any issues with people requesting modpacks there to me seems a very weird vibe coming off of him, so a PM conversation I had with toadie2k confirmed that he's up to No Good for some reason. Pretty much he'll contact you and ask you to contact other modders and also "speak" for other modders, in this case he told me yesterday that "toadie2K was getting out of the business" and it was "okay" to use his stuff, which by further asking him for the source material didn't provide the necessary checks and answers. That and I PM'd toadie2k which confirmed he was not "getting out of the business" and so on, so if he offers files that seem binarized you do what you want but for my sake I blocked him and won't contact him further. So... the lesson for today is that if you tel me something I won't take your word for it until I talk with the real person, so if he or she confirms it, then I can trust you a bit more, and if you are lying Google "ghosting" and "being blocked."

Point of fact: No modders and players are the designated spokeperson(s) for a modder's work (including mine, which is why I'm so anally retentive about my stuff). I'll always check behind your back (or if I see their topic and seems contradictory to what is being told), etc. Just so you know. So if you're not a designated member or spokesperson your word is pretty much #%&*$#, and useless and 'll not deal with you any further.

Don't get me wrong I don't mind helping out the community but if you're going to get me into what I feel s "drama" then again, look up "Ghosting", and "being blocked".

Also made some basic smoke grenades. Other than the fact that they're more compact it's the same as BIS smoke grenades, and the body shows the color (White, Green, Yellow, Red, Orange, Blue, Purple):

Okay now that stuff is settling down as far as mod-wise, I'll probably be uploading a new version of the gun stuff later on this week sometime. Overall things are settled on that but there's a bit more fine tuning and checking I need to do.

The Raven Tactical units will get the new M40 style grenades as opposed to any other faction that I have going on, simply because a PMC buys a bit different than a military, and some can agree, better gear. Again that's just how I view things and what little I've noticed in the real world. Militaries just do what they do and that's about it.

As for the helos probably around the same timeframe to next week as i need to retune the MH-60S's so they look correct as that PDF from gatordev did some wonders in some edumacation of the bird. Overall they're pretty easy to do and shape, I just need to focus on them during the week now that my gun stuff is fairly complete (as well as unit tweaking, etc).
