Battle of Empires :1914-1918 is a story driven RTS, that re-lives some of the bloodiest battles of “The Great War”. The missions include some of the most fearsome weaponry employed of the period. Sabotage, stealth, trench warfare, gas attacks, artillery and mobile infantry - BoE has it all!

So, what does it play like?

Edit... Ah, just looked at some vids and screenshots... It's a MoW title set in WWI

Bought it..plays like a click fest sadly. Also no where near enough single player content. Now if I was an RTS gamer I'd love it..as very few rts games (Close Combat 2 and Graviteam Tactics)have been right for me then it's no surprise BOE falls into the to fast to many clicks category. WW1Gold has been one of the best ground war WW1 games I've played and again Grand Strat isn't really my scale at all preferring tactical, however WW1Gold manages to get WW1 right where no other Grand Strat game has managed.

I play a Running with Rifles WW1 mod which is pure good fun. Steam and Iron with the campaign for naval warfare is superb..but you need the campaign expansion. WOFF crowns all WW1 games.

Yes, I own the WWII MoW series so know how the game plays... Won't be buying it until it gets to a couple of quid in a steam sale.
the MoW titles are fun for an afternoons play when you are bored. The game mechanics are predictable and very frustrating at times.
If you are looking for WWI immersion on the ground, this isn't it unfortunately.
