The runt I rescued on Christmas Night 2013 died today.
I Loved that crazy feline.
I'll miss her.
I sang songs after I topped her grave off with dirt.

I'll remember her purr when she slept on top of me.

Very soothing to me, tried to do the same with my snores..

I'll miss her...need a new mouser now, but ain't done grieving over a Cat.



When I was digging the hole in da ground, my mind slipped into horror story of Steven King..'Pet Cemetary'..then it became calm again.

Hope I ain't got that issue.

That never gets easy. Our dog died when she was only 3. They just become part of the family. Condolences, man.

At least it wasn't a human...but she was my Companion.
She picked me that night and latched on.
I gave her a home...and now a grave.

It ain't no big thing, just feeling sad about a dead cat.

I love all animals. And to my shame I prefer animals to people I think, unlike humans they don't pollute the plant, wage war on their own kind or abuse their young.
The loss of an animal leaves a big hole in the heart.

sorry wasp.....we've buried 4 Labs....each one a heart breaker....one of the kids long ago came up with this at grave side....no idea from where:

Go to Heaven, if you must

Anyhow.....find yourself another Kitty when you're ready, start over.....

Sorry to hear that Mudwasp, I've buried horses, cats and dogs. Some are easier than others but none are easy. The ones that are underdogs always find a special place in my heart.

I'm also sorry to hear about the death of your cat. I remember when our cat died when I was in my early teens; it felt really bad. Ever since then, I've had no pets.

Sorry for the loss. The soft kitty compilation reminds me of my cat and kids.

I am tremendously attached to my dogs and sometimes already dread the day when one or both of them come to the end of the road.

MFair, digging a horse grave sounds like a time consuming task. Do you have access to a backhoe?

Mornings are too quiet now. She was always meowing and zig zagging between my feet as soon as I opened the bedroom door. That crazy would follow me into the bathroom at sit next to me on the sink/vanity if I didn't shut the bathroom door very quickly.

A nearby farmer has a batch or two of kittens due soon....


Another off topic story. Some critter is defecating in the flower pots I've lining my deck. This morning in crapped inside a watering can. The opening to fill the can isn't very large, approx 4" x 2". I'm thinking the "Crazy Crapper" is a racoon.

Yep. I have buried a few over the years. I will get hit hard in the next few years as all of mine are 17 and 18 years old now except one. The county will bring a hoe out and bury a horse if you call but I have my own.

My yellow Parrot (the female) flew out of the cage yesterday....I understand you,wish her the best....

Well no hopes about that,the country round here is full of birds of prey cats,foxes,and those little exotic birds cannot even feed themselves properly,so we gave the guy in the cage (a Blue one) another bride....
They are already chatting like mad..as usual.The house cat is at the window peering at the cage...as usual,I can see his thoughts "one of these days...."
