External link - but interesting AAR here using Command Modern Air/Naval Ops to fight a 4 vs 4 pitting F-35s against Su-35Ss

Excellent AAR, thanks for sharing!

By the way, there's an another wargame called "Naval War Arctic Circle" which despite not being or looking as realistic as Command Modern Air/Naval Ops it still looks good (with a good/acceptable level of realism) specially because we can view the action in a 3D word (in tandem with the usual 2D map).
When I used the F-35s in Naval War Arctic Circle the results were basically the same when using the F-35 against any enemy aircraft (even including the Sukhoi PAK FA/T-50) which I don't find any surprising at all.

Great AAR. I enjoyed reading how it played out.

"Does the F-35 suck on combat" isn't the question. In your scenario, you used it as a pure stealth BVR asset. That is where it excels, as long as the range doesn't exceed it's internal fuel capability, forcing non-stealthy external fuel tanks.

I noticed that after your last Meteor was expended, you chose to RTB instead of going WVR and entering a fight with the Flankers. Being a silent killer is one of it's attributes (like the F-22). But this is where the questions of the F-35's abilities come from. Can it dogfight? There are reports saying it can and others saying it cant.

Anyhow, this was a fun read and watching your scenario unfold. Thanks for sharing.
