Maps, planes, vehicles and more.

There is a lack of custom built CUP missions and campaigns but much of the older content works and Monty has said CUP specific content is in the pipeline.

There is also the possibility that missing SCW content will get some attention.

IL2 1946 has become so much more than a great Russian Front WWII sim and now pretty much covers the entire history of flight as it applies to war.

There is a huge inventory of Maps and so many aircraft variants, 50+ bf109s, 30 Zeros, 32 FW 190s, 40 Spitfires and so many more.
These modders have touched every aspect of 1946 and the improvements to personnel, vehicle and aircraft visuals is epic.

If you have been away, are not satisfied with the flightsim/game alternatives, or if you are new to flightsims and would like a bunch of options, IL2 1946 VERSION 4.12.2 with CUP addons is worth a look.

For those keeping score, IL-2 got an F-16 before DCS did.

Really need to take this one back out for a spin.

heres hoping some dynamic campaigns built around some CUP stuff (Korean war sim anyone?) come down the pipe soon.

Well I'm all up to date but I'm finding that some of my aircraft engine noises are now crap!
The Hurricane and IL2 sound like stock engines not deep throaty real ones (sigh)

The player will fly Strikes, Escort, Recon, CAS, BDA, and even Search and Rescue using a number of new mission scenarios.
