I have not had the opportunity to play this sim as much as I would like to, however, I think I noticed something tonite that seems a little different from past versions of OFF. It may be normal, so bear with me.

If I select an aircraft from a known squadron in the proper time period for when that AC was used (such as a DH2 in 24 Sqd), should it not appear with the striped wing struts, or in the case of QC, have that skin available to select?

I tried several different AC in QC and Campaign from Germany and England, and in many cases, most of the skin selections were "Default" only. This was also the case when selecting an enemy AC in QC - most of the AC were labeled as "Default" skins only.

Has something been changed in WOFF, or do I have an issue with my downloads?

I just updated to 2.10.

I still do not appear to have many skins to select from. In QC, I selected to have a go at the British: almost all of the AC in the list came back as "Default" only. This also the result visa versa.

It seems fine here choosing for player or enemy, even if I am British pilot or German.

What exactly is the problem, which aircraft? Some won't have many especially if you have not installed the skin pack.

1) Check in \OBDSoftware\WOFF\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\skins
you should have approx 1500 files in there - if not it's broken (with WOFF installed without skin pack).
If you add the skins pack that will be around 6000.
2) Re-install to test as per section 17) of the FAQ and check.
3) Tell me which aircraft?
4) You may need to purchase the skin pack if it is just some aircraft you have a problem with but if it's most craft then this won't help. Maybe your install is partial or corrupt.

Try a reinstall and make sure WOFF Expansion works before you install WOFF Expansion v.2.10 patch.

BTW, I stumbled over a similar Problem in Campaign-Mode with the RAF84 in 1918. I've got the Skin Pack & Updates, the Ace-Skins and everything is in the correct Folder ( campaigns/skin), but every NPC in the RAF84 is using the ...default.dds of the Aircraft Folder. Player is using a different Default-Skin (have yet to determine, what Skin exactly, maybe the 1918-Default of the Aircraft Folder)
Maybe, this has something to do with the above mentioned Problem?

Thanks but no it nothing to do with selecting Aroth's QC skins issue Nietzsche. He says most craft have only default. We have tried it here and it's fine in QC so it's an issue his side. Most (not quite all) craft have skin choices in QC even without the skin pack installed.

If you are flying SE5a Viper? 84 RFC fine in QC for me.

Obviously nearly 6400 skins with skins pack installed and other packs - and one typo in the name of a skins for that particular aircraft means that squadron/ace whatever skin won't show in campaign. Or sometimes there is no skin available for that squad (not made yet).

For your issue as it's campaign it's different to Aroth anyway. We'll check to see if there's a problem - sometimes there's an error elsewhere.

OK Nietzsche we found a problem with the viper skins as they are named incorrectly, so we have altered the WOFF manager to correct it for campaign. It works for QC as the rules and code is different there.

Forgive me Pol but your last post leaves me a little confused.
It's is somehow fixed now or will be in a upcoming patch?

Morane L

Guess that means I need to do a reinstall?

Well if you never flew in a Viper squadron with Aces and wanted to see the skins that you knew where there, you'd not have an issue
