This rocket was designed to launch the also abandoned 'Buran' Space Shuttle.

That's a whole lot of wasted money!

That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead?
Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
Interesting - while the Buran is quite the carbon copy this means they would have had an engine on the fuel tank and not just use the "Shuttle" engines...

I see what went wrong, after building it inside they realised that the door was too small...

Those are the prototypes, BTW, like Enterprise, not the flight-ready ones which got trashed a couple of years back.

Is this some sort of "museum" where tourists are allowed to go? I see those Buran shuttles up on jack stands. Wonder how long they've been sitting like that.

Program was abandoned over 10 years ago. Security must have been pulled back to, but this
is remote part of Launch complex

Thanks JimK. I thought that it was somewhere way off near Baikanor. Must take a long time to get out there.

F4U, that's similar to a picture I remember seeing somewhere of a ceiling caved in on the Buran.
