Got a career going (of course) and it does not seem like I am getting promoted as fast as I used too.
I am NOT complaining as I felt promotions came much too fast normally.
I get a lot of factors go into promotion chances, and every career may be different, but has anything changed?

Yes the assorted criteria required for promotions have been discussed before it just "seems" like it is going slower than usual which, as I stated above, is fine with me. Last campaign I went from a 2nd Lieutenant to Major in a little over a month.
It was a great, and lucky, career but still....

Claims system and Promotions were separated so yes if you switch them around it will be different. The criteria for promotion has not changed at all.

So Claims Normal promotion Normal gives erm Normal Claims and Promotion

Errrr...I think I got what you are saying...I think.
So when they were together...ahh...both were working together maybe going too fast if you had a lot of claims?
Now that they are separate (as I requested over a year ago - thank you) the Promotion logic/routine is now standing on its own. So without claims in the mix promotions will naturally (and by game design) come slower?

No not what I mean at all. If you set claims on normal. Then set promotion on normal. You are now set the same as when the setting was combined, and you set it on "normal"

However of course now they are separated, maybe you don't have both set to normal??


If you set your claims on "easy" now, but promotions on "normal" you will get more kills awarded obviously as now you are getting more kills quicker because you choose to get more of your claims processed. THAT may increase your promotion happing quicker.

Never been promoted until yesterday! Felt good.

One thing I've noticed to but prob coincidence..since changing the regional air activity to light I'm getting more encounters and see more planes around!!

Yes that would seem to be counter intuitive as I understand the system but, hey, as long as your having a good time.
