wow..., just wanted to help you. You say u haven't touched the game for months, which means you haven't tried those missions... OK, no more 'advices' to you, I promise I don't think you need to take it like that. I see where he is coming from. When someone does mention wanting a robust SP, someone mentions 2 peoples, single mission work. Yeah its nice 2 people make some missions. But that does make a robust SP experience worth money invested. I see it every time someone asks how the SP portion they are told....try these missions.... Its a band aid for an axe wound. No need to get your feelers hurt. But have you tried those missions? Cheers Dakpilot

I hope I won't get banned You won't get banned, stop being pathetic! Vet's missions have been around for some time and yes I have them, what you mean by whether or not I have flown them has no bearing whatsoever to the current SP dilemma so I have no idea where you were going with that one... oh, I get it, you just wanted to try to catch me out then... why?

No need to get your feelers hurt. People don't post the links to those mission packs to annoy anyone they do it for the newer people who might not know about them. Most (if not all) people agree about the campaign not being good and pilot career plus stats are a big problem not to mention the medals. I was hoping we would have a good system for coops myself and was disappointed but we're just trying to muddle through and work around our problems, it's harder for the SP guys because making the missions can take a long time. I just hope we get the PWCG eventually I think that would satisfy many people.

As a single player I think we see those same missions being offered over and over again as salt in a wound. I've played the original 6 or 8 Veteran missions and they are very nice (that's why I keep banging on for 1CGS to give him and others the ability to wrap them up in a proper in-game campaign like can be done in Rise of Flight). But with BoS I feel like I've ordered ice tea that was served with no ice. Then every now and then the waiter comes by and drops one ice cube in my glass and wonders why I'm not happy. This in light of the promises made in Dev Diary #21 with no apologies from 1CGS leaves a bitter taste not soon forgotten.

As a SP, the absolute most fun I have ever had with CFS was with IL2, then 1946, and Cliffs, with some incredible user created campaigns that followed a historical story line.
The developers created the environment that gave the users the ability to easily create this great SP content. 1CGS really needs to do the same.
Based on DD 102, it appears they at least are willing to make some changes to the stock campaign which will hopefully be for the better, but they are not going to create static missions strung together into a historical type campaign, and so far no sign of them allowing users to do so either.
But at least it appears they are hearing, that the stock campaign as is royally sucks, and are willing to make some changes that will hopefully be for the better...

Its a blast! Since the last patch the servers are packed. I love to shoot down ratas:) So much easier to disengage if needed against this bugger and if you stay fast. BOS it total fun to play. Everyone with an affinity to WWII flightsims should get his hands on this one. And BOM as well! That's great unless one is an offline player. In which case save your money. Also the draw distance in the options makes zero difference to the lod bubble.
DCS Kickstarter Wags July 2014 "In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable." Wags October 2017 "the investment vs. generated revenue has been excellent for the World War II aircraft. In fact, the P-51D Mustang has twice the cost effectiveness of the A-10C Warthog."

You beat me to it JR... Great for the MP guys, but as usual, nothing for the SP offline crowd... BlackSix is working on scripted missions as part of a new campaign which should introduce a lot more immersion.
