Just saw the movie last night despite all the admonishment on this thread.

Serves me right for not listening. Movie was a big steaming pile of odious manure.

The ending didn't make sense.

Jupiter is who she was so why is she still cleaning toilets?

She can now afford to find a new cover and identity and especially her family's memory was mind wiped, she could have had them set up in a new life with new identities and lifestyle and then wipe their memory of everything they had about their prior lives.

So what became of Kiza?

Sean Bean character's daughter?

She went to the grocery store and then came back to found everyone gone and the farm destroyed so oh well, guess she will just sit there and hopefully her Dad will be back soon?

Saw it on the plane this week with zero expectations.

Visually quite beautiful, random fun film. Quite enjoyed it as far as uncomplicated storybook sci-fi goes (heck, I enjoyed Flash Gordon back in the day).

Flash Gordon had that awesome Queen music, though.

That Flash Gordon film is definitely the most entertaining and watchable B movie for me and yes, Queen's soundtrack is a big reason for that.

Did you catch the Ming wedding/Lightning Shield reference in the movie? Or that's how I saw it.

Definitely. That scene was definitely inspired by Flash Gordon.

They left out the Ming wedding, complete with the headdress.

This was probably one of the easier ones. LOL

I finally watched it yesterday. Meh... Visually great but otherwise, not.

Never understood people's fascination with Mila Kunis, still don't. She can't even act!

Consider that the original choice for the part was Natalie Portman and it's easy to see another reason this mess did not work.

Also, I found out this completed filming in 2013, so it was 2 years in post-production. Incredible that anyone still saw this an decided to go ahead with release.

The studio had already spent 170+ million on making the film. They had to release it just so they could recoup SOME money.

I think Mila is cute but cute does not equal being able to act.

I also think she has a better future in pRon than in mainstream Hollywood films.

She makes enough from doing the voice for "Meg" on Family Guy that she shouldn't have to do anything else.

In every live action movie I've seen her in she has always been rather dull and forgettable.

I've only seen the Star Wars episodes of Family Guy and I wasn't even aware Mila voiced one of the characters.

That was part of the joke that she had nothing to do in them except be the monsters. She does voice the space slug in Empire.
