Well I'll be removing that archive soon so if anyone wants anything from it now's the time.

I'll return will a much larger and more organized collection. I been using every file I could get my hands on to build this archive, I just hope I don't disappoint anyone here. Once it's posted I can use some help in moving around some files that I have no idea what they are , most of the miscellaneous files had no readme's included.

I built it for everyone but a good chunk had to come from Sandbaggers server to help fill it in. I have not asked yet but If he has the room on his server that's where you'll also see the collection. 7 gigs of stuff and you guys are still holding back wink

Isn't there more of you guys around with EAW file backups just rotting away?
Maybe it be easier nce you see how I have it put together, been working on it for over a week steady and still not done.

Why do you think they are rotting?

Heh, Well I figure there not being shared openingly, I can't find to many places left to get files. I understand why the recent last year or so stuff can't be shared...

I just want to make it easy for users that play and mod and program etc EAW to have a easy resource to find the files needed to speed up any improvements or enjoyment.

Anyhow I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to upload folders to mediafire since it seems I have to create the folders manually before uploading files to them. And I have alot of folders. An open FTP account would be best but Mediafire is all I got.

Okay stay tuned.

These pages are very informative, you think I could get a zip with the pages and images in it?

Okay got Moggy's old classic EAW technical modding notes saved.

Is there anything you guys want to see in this archive?

Like right now I have all the planes skins in separate folders for each type, or there call number/name. I have a feeling I duplicated some folders tho, using the wrong name for the plane type....like is a bf109 the same as a me109?

That Wiki hasn't been updated in sometime, but it does have a ton of info.

How would I download the entire thing?

No saving just page by page to html won't work. I tried a site copier program but that's not working either. So I would need to be in contact with who ever runs that wiki.

As far as the Archive is going; It looks like Sandbagger can't host the eaw archive, just too much data to upload and host, it would just over double what he has there now.

So it looks at this point somehow I'll get it uploaded at mediafire again. The current archive of course will be deleted first. Not sure when I'll be-able to get it up there. Mediafire has a sync program but it's not ideal, It looks like I'll have to manually upload the files at this point which will take some doing and time. That's over 460 folders I have to process manually, then upload the files from there.

Okay thanks for sending me that stuff!

as far as the status of the archive, I trashed the old one and am uploading the new archive currently, I expect this to last for a week or even more, so I would not try downloading until I can get the files completely uploaded as partial files may exist, and they will be broken if you try to open them once downloaded.

Well here we are roughly 6 days later. I still have about 90 larger(100 megs+) files to upload. Most of the smaller(less than 10 megs) files have been uploaded.

Be advised many of the files will be renamed eventually from there original short names to titled names to better described what the file is. This will happen when I finish uploading and begin organizing a bit better.

So if your interested in downloading some files go ahead or comparing what I have and what you have so you can send me files that I don't have, please do so. Also to help you grow your personnel archive.

Thanks.

Okay Upload is complete for the archive I statically had in place.

Here is where you can view the files:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/0e8990vqszo0n/EAW

Remember you unfortunately you can only DL one file at a time, unless you have a mediafire account, There is a free account to download entire folders but you have to install their downloader program to get them. There also is the payed service option.

Now I have about 0.5% more files to add very soon. Mostly plane skins/planes. I just have to sort through what I already have so I don't have duplicate files. (BTW I removed I think it was 65megs of 25 duplicate files already with a program to find them.)

Then after that I hope to get more files from the remaining EAW community if you guys can help! Please send me stuff I don't have. Either post a link where I can get it or PM a link. Thank You.

I'm in need of the following files

128Ato128B.exe

128to128a.exe

120to128a.exe
This last one is optional I guess, I'd really like the first two, then this last one is least important.

I'm really missing v 1.29 and v1.30 also..

Is there's some where I can download these files? Please help, trying to build an archive here. smile

Come on guys, need your help. I know your tired, but your needed this time. I'm tired too, I been working on this archive for a good 3 or 4 weeks. I also did alot of research and have written some technical documents that I offer at the archive.
Need those files from my previous post please.

Here's some files I did up, took me awhile to get them technical correct and they have gone through many revisions, I'm still update them as I think of more to add.

Hello Mark.

I have loads of old stuff going back to the year dot, but it's all trapped on a HD my son dropped, and now has a tinkling sound inside. It's on a list of things to try and fix. I've got another 2 to practice on before I go for the big one.

Ooooooo, three or four weeks already.

It's nice that you're taking the time to do this and I, for one, appreciate the effort. Having all that info sorted and available in one place will be highly useful.

But take it down a notch, OK?

You're obviously enthusiastic but please understand we have a "pace" here that's been developed over a VERY long time.

What with personal EAW projects and real life issues things don't progress in a linear manner but as you are well aware, amazing things have been done with this game since first release.

So, with that in mind, I'll leave the post with this:

There was a young bull and an old bull standing on a hilltop looking over a herd of cows.

The young bull says to the old bull "let's run down there and each scr*w a cow".

The old bull turns to the young bull and says "let's walk down and scr*w them all".

Heck, even paranoids have enemies.
