If you have Xbox 360 disk, or have the games in your digital library, this Winter you can download and play them on your Xbox One for free.

and tale screens and videos of them.

Already testing it, going to Preview later today.

I wouldnt ditch your 360 though, as the list is less thab 5% of released titles.

Can also stream to Win10 pc :-)

Its curious though we get this a few.months after a dev group had a X360 Emulator running at 80%, then quickly being shutdown by MS..

Betcha they all got jobs...lol

well that's what I want, play Red Dead Redemption again, and also the rare games that probably won't come back like that Apache game and Race pro... which were great games but to advance for the 360 to handle.

Basically,

The Game needs Zero Adjustments, just Re-Compiled in newer SDK for XBO Mode.

All MS Needs is permission from Publishers.

Oh and I agree this is a fantastic development. We still have a 360 in the basement for the kids but it raises my blood pressure too much to go down there and see the mess.

Great idea.
Why the hell didn't they do that from the start I ask my self.
Probably to sell more Xbox 1 games I suppose
Sales of the Xbox 1 must be flagging so some bright spark came up with this idea.
I traded all my 360 games when I got the Xbox 1 and got very little for them in the trade.
Really pissed about that now.

downloading the free preview now.... BTW, can't find it now but M$/XB1 had a poll for all the games you wanted brought to XB1 via backwards compatibility.... can you guess the number 1? Red Dead Redemption, unfortunately GRAW2, my personal favorite with all it's downloads was near the bottom of the poll.

GRAW2 would be my game of choice as well.
Mite give WOT ago as well always wanted a tank game on a console

I voted for Red Dead Redemption but from what I understand only titles from Microsoft Studios are the ones to get the backward compatible support, but hey it can't hurt to show the demand.

Also I didn't hear if digital copies are supported? I made the conversion to digital during the last year of XB360 so hopefully it won't just be disk copies that are backward compatible.

What happens if you bought the title digitally on XBL not on disk, I have Mass Effect on XB360 XBL digital copy how can I get my XBOne to try to play it?
