Happy to report that BOB2 v2.12 runs on Windows 10 Pro technical preview build 9926 [tested on instant action missions] although on my PC it had to be set in Win XP SP3 compatibility mode.Also some issues with with the English text error but only on key command alt x.Unfortuneately this shuts the sim down but at least there is some hope after the Win 8/8.1 disappointment.

Most excellent; just to confirm, you were able to
run for some period of time in 3D without DX9-related
crashes occurring after a couple of minutes? - We
have had some reports of success in W8 which were
subsequently withdrawn after further testing showed
the program hadn't been run long enough to display
the fault.

I`ve just run the sim for 15 minutes without any in game crashes,nothing very ambious mind you just swaning around the sky in my spit.As mentioned before the only issue is with the english text error,that seems more likely to happen if the ground object density and particle filter is set to full,also running the sim for extended periods eg.15 mins in this case but as I have only just noticed that perhaps it`s a red herring and was only evident on keyboard command Alt X.
As for Win 10 the install only allows you to overwrite an existing copy of Win 7,as I have a spare blank HD on my PC this was no problem.I have not installed any other software on the OS with the exception of the graphice driver Nvidia 347.52 and DX9 At the moment Win 10 looks to be a winner [Hopefully].I would be pleased to help with any other info you may require.

Not recommended to have particle density set above medium at present.
Every error in Bob2 references the English text but you should have crashlogs and debug logs which can give information to those that understand them.

Lets hope that the W8 stormclouds can be banished.

Hi, I am the campaign coder for BoBII. For 2.13, the Particle Density option has been limited so only the valid settings can be used (low and med).

Has anyone tested BoBII in Win10 long term with Particle Density set to med or low?

My earlier optimism with win 10 [trial version] has been dashed a bit as I couldn't avoid the English text crash [intermittent but there nevertheless] after alt x.I have since re installed Win 8.1 and contrary to popular opinion BOB2 runs quite well not perfect by any means with the occasional crash but a lot better than I expected.
