It seems the list of actions when you are binding actions to keys contains some that do not really do anything in WOFF. Some examples are Brakes: B, open/close bombay doors: shift+B [not sure if this does anything or not].

Is there a list somewhere of the actions that have no effect in WOFF?
Knowing this would identify key assignments that can be changed without losing anything.

Also, the action "fire/drop ordnance" is mapped to Enter; Button 3.
Is this "drop bomb"? [I pressed Enter and then Joystick button 3 but I could not tell if I dropped 2 bombs or not]
How can it be mapped to 2 different keys?

As you can tell from the above, I flew my first QC bombing mission. I didn't hit anything with my bombs and that seems par for the course from what I read in the forums smile

Some of them are WWII CFS3 heritage, and do not apply on WOFF planes.

But the sopwith 1 1/2 stutter does have a bomb bay door and air brakes. So those aren't entirely redundant.

"Enter" (or Button 3 for you) is " Release/Fire selected weapons"
Before using it you have to select Bombs with "Backspace" (Select next weapon)

There is a sound associated to the bombs dropping so you know you dropped them.

I didn't know it had air brakes.
Anyone have a screen shot of Strutter air brakes in action?

Brakes, yes...but air brakes? Or, is this a reference to dive brakes?

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

Actions that do nothing...

Asking an angry person to "please listen"

Telling a pretty and very popular girl that you are broke but a really great guy.

Explaining flight sims to the wife

Telling your already comfortable and lazy dog to "get off the bed" because you have no room

Voting in America

I'm sure there's more. Sorry, I couldn't resist. biggrin Back to the actual topic of this important thread.

@Hellshade
I am at work. When I laughed out loud at your post, I got strange looks from everyone. Those who know me weren't surprised. biggrin

A welcome humor break, thanks!

I was thinking dive brakes...
...I'm heading to QC to find out

edit...............
The command for spoilers is mapped to WOFF not displaying messages D
Shift D turns them back on

I've never heard of air brakes on the Strutter. Maybe some one more knowledgible will chime in. There is a parking brake command that I didn't try. Didn't see an air brakes command.

Sopwith Strutter sure had airbrakes to reduce landing distance,...Don´t know what key it is mapped to if any, though.

I may have to eat my words a little there. Here is a strutter where I have opened the bomb bay door. You can also see the airbrakes quite clearly modelled. The default toggle for airbrakes is still 'D' but I can't see them working. Maybe they don't actually move.

D turns off game messages last i knew.
If you get them to work, let us know!
Maybe changing the key assignment will work....???

I tried D with the bomb bay doors open...didn't see anything happen

Have you tried assigning a different command?
