Hello, DCS enthusiasts,
I am introducing the new Wrecking Crew Projects site that has links to the missions that have run on the Hollo Pointe server over the years, as well as mission design resources. These missions are available for your download and modification, in any way. You may publicly host these missions.

These DCS World missions are designed for multiplayer, and will reload at the conclusion. Most missions are Blue Air COOP types, while there are some that offer Air H2H. The majority of missions have the A-10C, as that is what I fly the most, and many include the Su-25A/T, the F-15C, A-10A, as well as other Russian jet a/c. Combined Arms is featured in many missions and these tend to include opponent Blue & Red roles. All of these missions can be played in single player; but they won't reload at the end.

There is also a five-mission campaign, called !S'paign -- this is a Blue vs Red H2H battle across the Caucasus region that encompasses much of Georgia. Depending upon the outcome of the missions in this campaign, the battle zone will move east or west across the map.

Missions are mixed as for F10 views, such as All, Allied Only, Fog Of War; Labels may be Optional or Off. You may edit/customize any mission to your preference to switch views, Labels, etc. Look under the hood with the Mission Editor to see how everything works.


Many thanks go to the world of DCS World people who have assisted in one way or another to help me make these missions fun and challenging. A big credit goes to Grimes over at DCS Forums for Mist -- without it many of my mission ideas and features would not be possible.

A fun mission was added for A-10Cs -- BeachAV8R's Grad Ex. This mission is the 'final', following a ten part tutorial of the A-10C systems, published in PC Pilot magazine. The Grad Ex mission and the article by BeachAV8R can be found in Issue #89:

I'm working on a new mission called Pointe & Shoot, where Blue JTACs spot Red armor attacking Min-Vody Airbase. The mission starts at 2000 in the summer under clear skies, so there will be a mix of pointing out targets to Blue aircraft using smoke and after dark switch to IR pointers. JTACs have good tactical positions on the hills around Min-Vody. Hawks were added along with a couple of sight-seeing C-101EB -- all have Client slots, along with A-10Cs, Sharks and Hips.


On the Wrecking Crew Projects site a new version of The Highway also includes Hawk aircraft. These Clients have a gun pod and a couple of Sidewinders, and can load up bombs and rockets -- if they can make it to Gelen.

I have also added an F-15C mission, Kill Bombers. In this one, Blue COOP F-15Cs have Red bombers and jets to shoot down. Each F-15C has wingmen, up to three. Practice your F-15C air combat skills, and directing your wingmen to threats. An AWACS provides bogey dope.

The new Simply War mission was added to the Wrecking Crew Projects site.

The mission has Red MiG-21 Client slots to deliver nuclear bombs on the Blue forces, but Red SEAD will have to wipe out the powerful Blue air defenses first.

Red and Blue armor are lined up facing each other, like in an American football game. One side has to punch through the enemy's line to capture the nearby FARP. Combined Arms plays a big part to accomplish a win with armor, and tactical commanders can control various AI aircraft as well. A new mission feature has MANPAD and RPG teams riding along with some armor groups and can be deployed anywhere using the Radio system.

SummaryBlue Liberation Forces (BLF) are attacking Red toward Min-Vody Airbase.
Red has the MiG-21 and is reported to have some small number of tatical nuclear weapons for said aircraft, and threaten Blue at Mozdok.
Combined Arms: A few armor groups are enabled with a MANPADS team. Use the Radio menu to deploy these MANPADS -- BUT there is just one team per armor group. Find an armor group that includes 'MANPADS' in its name; if there is a Radio item for this group them its MANPADS are available for deployment.
Red armor also has a few RPG enabled groups.

Summary
Blue JTACs must spot Red convoys attacking Min-Vody Airbase. Min-Vody has little Blue defense so if Red can penetrate the perimeter they will capture the airbase.

We have had a lot of fun with the Combined Arms in this mission. Red has only Combined Arms while Blue is flying a variety of a/c and can control armor and Stryker JTACs. This is a sunset mission that should run for 2-3 hours. The Hawk is there with weps, and there are C-101 EBs for some sightseeing cruising. Hueys are available but face some tough opposition at the start from Red tanks, but will be effective when Red reaches Min-Vody and deploys infantry.

A new mission called Hueys & Hawks: El Paso is posted to the Wrecking Crew Projects site.

This is a fun little mission to pair the Huey with the Hawk against lightly-armored vehicles and watchtowers. It is a canyon run for a Blue convoy that must be protected from Novorossiysk to Krymsk. Hawks are loaded out with guns and either rockets or bombs.

The current Hawk release is pre-EFM -- today's Hawk uses a Simplified Flight Model and as such the aiming site needs a bit of getting used to (when EFM is released the sight will be fully functional and an upgraded Aden gun pod will be available). So for now, to have FUN with the Hawk in this mission I have turned On the Unlimited Weapons option. That lets me shoot the place up without running out of the precious few rounds the current gun pod offers, and lets me toss and drop bombs and fire rockets while I'm trying to keep up with the damage that the Huey is causing.

This new mission is available for free download, and it may be modified and hosted. If Unlimited Weps is a no-go for you then turn it off!

To the guy who posted the note about a campaign -- I did do a five mission campaign for the A-10C that includes fast jets and Combined Arms. It is an H2H campaign -- start with mission #3 and depending who wins -- Red or Blue -- the next mission will go east or west until one side wins the last mission, either #1 or #5. Of course, you can play any of the five stand-alone. The five missions start with the name '!S'paign..' and are on my website. You are welcome to modify them to your liking.
BTW, making five integrated missions took me over five months -- it is a lot of work.
