After he made Taken in 2008, someone figure out hey, Llam does action films pretty good so let's hire him to make the same movie over and over:
These are the action films with Llam in the main hero starring roles he made since 2008 - by the way, out of the 4 NON Taken films I listed, except for A Walk Among the Tombstones, the other 3 films are also by the SAME director!
Run All Night 2015 Mobster and hit man Jimmy Conlon has one night to figure out where his loyalties lie: with his estranged son, Mike, whose life is in danger, or his longtime best friend, mob boss Shawn Maguire, who wants Mike to pay for the death of his own son.
--->Taken 3 2014<---
A Walk Among the Tombstones 2014 Private investigator Matthew Scudder is hired by a drug kingpin to find out who kidnapped and murdered his wife.
Non-Stop 2014 An air marshal springs into action during a transatlantic flight after receiving a series of text messages that put his fellow passengers at risk unless the airline transfers $150 million into an off-shore account.
--->Taken 2 2012<---
Unknown 2011 A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

He made his film debut in "Excalibur" which is one of my favorite films of all time. I had forgotten about his role in that film. Did you ever see it on the big screen or only at home? Wheels

Wheels I saw it for the first time on cable in the late 80's. It was also the first film appearance for Gabriel Byrne.

I was remarking to the wife the other day that if I were Liam's family I'd disown him, change my name, and move far, far away with zero contact with him.
One would probably wind up duck taped and thrown into the trunk of a car anyway, but it might delay it.

Are you sure about Excalibur. He has a non speaking cameo appearance in Chuck Norris' Delta Force. Look for the scene toward the end when they were cutting the fence around Beirut airport, after having rescued the hostages, and trying to get to the airliner. Llam is one of the Delta Force members in the advance team that cut the fence and went through to take out the terrorists gusrding the airliner. Delta Force came out in 1986. Excalibur was 1981.

I looked up Excalibur on imdb and he was in there. That is what I meant: why would he have a speaking role in that movie and 5 years later have a role where he doesn't have any dialogue and only appears for a few seconds. It should be the other way around.

It should be the other way around. My guess is that since Excalibur was shot and produced in Ireland that local actors like Byrne and Neeson would have received some special consideration when it came to casting.

It's decent. Won't blow you away like Taken 1 did, but it's not a mass of tired cliches either.

Also, first Patrick Stewart's first cinema role in Excalibur. He had done TV for a while though.
Yup! That cast for Excalibur was just utterly outstanding in every way.
