I have a question about how to do LOD files ! As I understand it,using the plugin qemLOSS2 need in Modeler reduces the number of polygons of the object and save it as ignaric_LOD1.lwo. But there are still some actions which should be done in Layout(for example to set the distance from the camera at which this LOD1 begins to be rendered).Can someone explain the sequence of actions? Is there a video tutorial about how to do LOD files ? thealx help me friend!The Google Translation

In layout select model. Then put "p" key for properties. There you have Object replacement option. Inside you have distances and models that game ude example for 100m , then 500m, 1km, etc. Camera position is not used in game but dont put it too far because Layout can replace you model with object from lod list. to simplify geometry in modeler you can use qemLOSS3 or Simplify Mesh plugins. they works similar - just select proper layer, open plugin page, set percentage of simplification and watch for result. usually percentage for LOD1/LOD2/LOD3 is about 75/50/30 but it can be more (sometimes model became bunch of unrecognizable polygons) or less. visually you can make it like this - original model is perfect, LOD1 is OK, LOD2 is ugly, LOD3 looks like model from mid 80's game.
