Astounding that one person conceived and assembled that. I had heard that such things existed; in fact, the story goes that from the Antikythera Mechanism onward, there has been a lineage of expertise in this sort of skill that had expressions in places like Imperial Rome, and the Abbasid Caliphate, but being mere trade craftwork, employed by commission and for the amusement of the nobility, and often proprietary techniques jealously guarded, this whole culture managed to pass largely unremarked by the wider public, with the technology not harnessed for more practical applications until the Enlightenment.
Even more amazing is that it appears, from timestamp 3:45, that the boy was writing a letter to Dr Oz!

Cool, there is a video game made years back called "Syberia" by B. Sokal that is about an adventure searching for the maker of these incredible Autamatons. Still have these games. They are very interesting to explore.
Made me also think of 2011 Martin Scorsese film called Hugo about a boy's search for info about his dead father and an automaton. It was quite good and the grand kids enjoyed it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0970179/
