currently only rifle, machine gun and SAM launcher available for troops. adding more weapons will cause lost of compatibly with save files, multiplayer sessions and player profiles so it's not good idea to do it without version increasing.
you can change units of infantry groups by editing FORMCOMP_INF.DAT (add more machine gunners for example). I suppose we are talking about Infantry mod, not original 1.15.2 version.
