Could any nvidia surround users do me a quick favour and check what their available surround resolutions options are?

In 347.88 mine looked like this (you open that window with the little icon to the right of the current resolution)...

...where I'd always add 5760x1080 to the 'active' list for games which my system couldn't run at native res. However, with 350.12 and 352.86 that screen now looks like this...

...

...and I can't find any way to get the inactive resolutions back. Am convinced it's a problem with the drivers because nothing in my system has changed and reinstalling 347.88 everything works as expected. Having to resort to older drivers isn't ideal when playing the latest games such as GTA5 and Witcher 3 which supposedly have specific optimisations.

I've raised an issue with nvidia support, but it may help my cause if I can demonstrate others have the same problem.

Cheers

Well I have surround but use some older drivers and a lower res so my resolutions will come up different.. Cant you just select a res to get working then got NCP and reselect the correct Res the old way under NCP Change resolutions??

The only surround resolutions available (to windows or games) are the ones in that 'active' list. There's no way to select a resolution other than those three.

Interestingly, I found that when I removed the unused resolutions (4800x900, 3840x700) from the active list by clicking the left arrow to move them to the 'inactive' list, after clicking OK and opening that window again, they'd both completely vanished as well.

It looks to me like the inactive list is simply broken in the latest two driver releases. Incompetent fools!

That's weird Brun, mine didn't change at all from the driver upgrade to 352.86, so not sure what could be causing that.

That's exactly the problem Kludger. The 'inactive' window should be full of resolutions which you can add to the active one, but it's been broken in the last two releases.

5760x1080 shows up because it's your native res, but if you wanted to run at 5040x1050 you can't because there's no way to make it available.

Thanks for checking, someone else at the AC forums did as well and I'm reassured it's not something weird with my system. Hopefully having brought it to nvidia's attention it'll get fixed again.

The desktop resolution menu will only show surround resolutions which are in the 'active' list in the screen shots I posted above.

I've posted this on a couple of other forums and all responses confirm this is something that nvidia have broken in their recent drivers. The only surround resolutions anyone can use are a) native res and b) the two other (frankly useless) default options.

Well in my Screenshot where it says Customize try putting in the res you want there and see what happens?

That doesn't apply to surround. The 'create custom resolution' option is also disabled when surround is active.

I've got a ticket open with support. They gave me do the run-around removing and reinstalling the current drivers which, not surprising, had no effect. Latest update I got was that's it's been 'escalated to level 2 support', and they've asked for my patience while they check it out.

I can appreciate how something like this could slip through the net, running surround lower than native res is probably only done by relatively few people who have higher-res monitors. I'm gonna suggest 5760x1080 should be added to the list of default active resolutions anyway.
