When WOFF was first released, if a plane crashed into the ground you could see a good part of the plane, plus damaged parts and debris field around it. I noticed now that I can't see the plane anymore. Just the debris field. The plane is totally unrecognizable. Did that change in a patch somewhere? Just curious because I preferred the original crash graphics.

Seems like I see different kind of graphic representations for the crash graphics.
The crater graphic is always the same but how much of the plane is showing seems different every time.
I will guess it depends on how the plane crashes?
Sometimes just a crater, sometimes minor aircraft pieces about, and sometimes the entire taiil sticking out of the hole.

Yeah I never see anything but the crater and some unrecognizable parts. I used to often see the fuselage or at least the tail sticking out of the crater. hmm. I even did a complete re-install recently and am getting the same results. I will have to try it with no mods and see if that helps.

I noticed the same with my most recent kill. Instead of a wrecked SPAD there was only a crater in the field.

You guys could try this mod - 4L0M Texture Mods and stuff, you can find it in the mods forum. I remember there was some discussion about it a few months back.

I have tried with and without 4L0M's texture mod and the crash crater changes, but no plane in any event. odd.

What happens when you run vanilla WOFF without mods or shaders activated? Did you recently change anything on your PC, like installing software, or something similar?

I run vanilla WOFF.

Damm... now I'm craving some vanilla ice cream. I've 2 gallons of maple...must talk the wife into an ice cream run.
