This is a good bunch here. Ask for help or advise at it comes quickly and "spot on".

Ex RAF --- did I ever pick you out of some jungle a few years back? If so you owe me a case of beer. Or maybe
you were one of my students in SERE, or Jungle Survival School.

We will talk later!

Cheers

I never did Jungle survival (Except for managing my allotment!) but I did do a sea survivial course at RAF Mountbatten in about 1985 or 6, Part of the course included a theoretical examination of Desert and Jungle survival. But as my role involved flying over the North Sea, North Alantic and bits of the Arctic Ocean it was deemed Desert and Jungle survival may have been a bit of a waste of time! As for the Arctic survival, well anyone who spent a night, in the depths of winter, in the Officers Mess at RAF Mountbatten needs no further arctic training...believe me!....I was that soldier! wave2

CCromwell, welcome to the madness and best of luck in the virtual skies. If you're married, this might be a good time to ship the missus off to visit the kids for a few weeks! She'll miss you otherwise...
