Sure it is not as pretty as the PC version, and I can live with that... but this has to be the best and most technical game released for the Next Gen console so far. I love it, and the gameplay with the gamepad (better then the PC's version using the gamepad, no jerking around like on PC) is great, sure support for my FANATEC wheel would be nice, but sitting on the couch, playing on a 70 inch HD plasma...is sweet. The best thing about this release for us racing game fans... sends a message to Turn 10 and Microsoft about the Forza series... time to step up. My first race, started 9 or so... finished 3rd, not one on track incident, controls were spot on. OH, and not one lag or frame rate hit during the whole race... as reported by some, but I have it installed on a secondary external hard drive that is faster and better then the internal one.

Nice! Unfortunately the Console version doesnt seem to warrant buying since the PC version appears better. That and the impeding DLC which should be free on PC, at least it think it will for backers.

Not sure if this will work or if even good quality... I broadcasted a race today, my first win... but had no viewers, lol... it was 5 laps at 24 hrs of Le Mans, full day/night cycle, it was ugly...race wise... but a awesome win for me, lost the lead a couple of times, blinded by the sun once or twice. http://www.twitch.tv/ankenbauer/c/6680763.

Nice!
I was going to go with the PC version, but what is this about it being twitchy on PC with a controller? I planned to use my XB1 Controller with it on PC (debating picking this up, as the reviews keep piling on!)

Jmo...
YES, I have both, and play both with a gamepad. (I have a wheel for PC but ever since I hurt my back bad, I can't sit on the wheel for more then 15 mins.)
with default, amateur settings, adjusted for realism on tire wear and gas use, meaning I'm sure if I turned off ALL aids it might be more difficult... the PC when you try and make a small correction or to line up for the next apex turn, it can throw you quick left or right off track, not happening as much on XB1, no more of the jerky use of the stick.
Which is a good thing is MOST XB1 players/racers will be using a gamepad due to lack of support of wheels.

This is really cool, I'm not a racing game guy but I may consider this one for the PC or Xbox

This is very encouraging, Magnum. I've got the PC version and like it quite a bit, though it's not without flaws. I'm playing it with a Thrustmaster TX wheel which I'd be able to use on the Xbox One as well.
I've got another friend, however, who has it on the Xbox One but he doesn't seem quite as enamored with it as you are. He's been complaining of gamepad control issues though I think he's recently played with some settings and improved them a bit.
I've been wanting to get it for the Xbox also, for the purpose of racing with friends online versus with AI or strangers online.
I'm hoping to get a look at it in person when my friend brings his over for me to try.
Glad to hear it's working well for you. Keep posting screenshots!

THX, like I said it's a great game... and IMO it's a technical marvel for the XB1 console, but it still isn't perfect, there are issues, just nothing major, default gamepad controls work great for me on amateur (medium) difficulty, but on pro (hard), the gamepad is extremely hard... and my biggest complaint is probly the feel of the road, is seems more "smooth" then it should be, but I'm comparing it to iRacing, which isn't fair. I will say that I probably won't be booting up FM4 or is it 5, can't remember, anymore... it's that good, and all the options, modes, and settings are great.

Can this game be played with a keyboard? I don't have a steering wheel or a gamepad and not sure I would want to use my joystick.
