Hi all,
We thought you might like to see an example of the Nieuport 10 due to appear in the next OBD release.
This particular aircraft was that of Georges Guynemer when serving in Esc(N) 3, during 1915.
The Nieuport is to be released for both the French and British.

Nice sir!
I may have to violate "DIH protocol" and try a early war career.

Wow, this looks like a very well-modelled and artfully skinned aircraft, guys!

My God, what an ugly plane. You've done it justice, though! Looks great.

Ugly?! What heresy is this? smile

Good job, devs! It's always great to have some more early war planes to the sim.

Most early WW1 aircraft were not that streamlined and sleak looking but that's their character.

Sandbagger,

Will the add-on include both the single and two seater N10 (so far I have only seen screenshots of the single seater version.

Or do I have to wait for 2 weeks until the expansion is released. hahaha

Just what WOFF needs: more ugly, horribly under-powered airplanes with utterly vicious flight characteristics. I remember my first encounter with OFF. I was young, foolish and had a fascination to try out a DH-2. It was a fascination that quickly cured itself...by killing my pilots. Encounters with the enemy came later. (In fairness, the Nupe 10 isn't really all that ugly.)

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

As far as I'm aware it'll be the single seat version this time around. However, nothing is impossible given support, so the two seat version could be a possibilty for a future release. That's a decision OBD may make in due course - 2 weeks maybe yep

Yes, ugly! My eyes just dislike any planes with a truncated rather than annular engine cowl. To say something positive, the N.10 isn't as fugly as the Fokker D.III. But the salient point to my earlier comment is the WOFF version looks great. yep

I like the cockpit, enough gauges and a decent view. Seems better than some of the Nupes to me.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm a N-12 and or a Fokker D-111. The N-12 is a 2 seat N-10 so shouldnt be a major problem. Maybe increase the turning rate, less power or speed, slower climb. The Fokker ??????? Maybe about the same as a N-11 or N-10 ? Any ideas ? mycomputer

A Morane Saulnier monoplane for early war period would be nice as well,as a Pfalz DVIII with the Siemens Halske rotary engine, for 1918 and why not,a Siemens Schuckert D III.....hope never dies, but, ther is need also for early French bombers, such as Voisins and Caudrons. copter I suppose all the community will support them!

I'll bet the N10 is not as nervous as the other early Ns. It looks very long, guess, that makes it more stable...

The N10 was originally a two seater, that was converted to a single seat fighter. This is why it is so long compared to regular design built fighters.

Well, ugly or not, it is what it is - you can't change history! And the pictures Sandbagger has posted are 1 step shy of a freakin' photograph. Unbelievable artwork.

I'll take it, my goal is to see what it was like, not necessarily become the next Red Baron. But I understand how others feel.

Two more weeks? wink

I have had a love affair with this graceful airplane for years. I've never read anything about its handling characteristics, but I'll bet it was not difficult to fly. It was a big plane (for the time) and lightly built. Lots of lift. No doubt underpowered (as they all were) and limited by the wing-warping system.
