How to add skins to DCS aircraft?

Hi fellow pilots,
I have been Fishbedic for a while now. Cant seem to be interested in nothing else. A couple of days ago I found some Vietnam Skins for the DCS Mig-21. I was so thrilled to download the files by Keefy. However, I realized I don't know how my file structure is supposed to be.
I entered the complete files into DCS/Mods/Aircraft/Liveries. Then there is something that has to be done with adding 01 and " to the files. Inside each skin there is a file but I am obviously not editing it right.
I am quite familiar with how to enable a skin in the Mission Editor.

Can someone please throw me a bone?

HomeFries Air Dominance Project Member Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 2,477	Normally, skins come as a package in a single folder where you have the dds (texture) files and the description.lua, which is the file that DCS reads to pull it all together. If the skin is put together this way (99% of them are), then you just create a folder in Liveries\MiG-21Bis for the name of the skin, or just extract to Liveries\MiG-21Bis if the folder is already in the file you downloaded. Every skin needs its own folder within its own airframe folder in Liveries. One more thing: You shouldn't have to install skins to your main DCS folder at all. Not only is this messing with your install, but you may also lose the skins on an update or DCS Repair. Your best bet is to go to your Saved Games folder and find DCS there. Here, create the folder Liveries, then MiG-21Bis, then extract your skins here (so it should read c:\users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\MiG-21Bis\<your skin>).
