Essentially, I am offering around 1.5M credits to buy the above ship in order to help fellow SimHQ members skip the initial grind. Here's how the program will work:

1. Choose which ship you want. Only one ship per member please!
2. Go out and find a station that sells that ship and hopefully all or most of the modules as listed in the build or whatever module(s) you want. This will most likely be a High Tech, high population system in your area. Usually, these systems/stations should be buying and selling Palladium as well. If not, find a nearby system/station that does sell Palladium.
3. Sell off all your Internal Compartment modules and fit the maximum Cargo Racks.
4. Post here what ship you want, your location, and your current ship and maximum cargo capacity. Also post what times you usually play, converted to GMT, and your pilot's name.
5. I will make my way to your system and transfer the appropriate amount of cargo.
6. You will sell the cargo and buy the ship and modules you want.

Sounds fair enough? tuner

In return, all I ask is that you go and enjoy the game. Pay it forward and help a newbie or fellow SimHQ member out if you can.

cheers

Wow. How are you pooping palladium? wink

I would like to get a Type-6 and try out trading. I am currently in Cadubi.

That's very nice of you, - Ice. People starting out are really going to appreciate that. Once I got a few advanced parts, making credits got easier and it was more about having fun and less grinding.

You're over your "Private Topic Limit" btw

The very initial grind in a Sidewinder can be a real pain. Even a Hauler can help greatly (I found it very easy to go from Hauler to Cobra), so I can definitely help with that in the future (as soon as I'm finished with a rares trade run to get my Cobra fitted better), especially for anyone flying at times compatible with the Aussie timezone. Not yet rich enough to offer anything better than the space van though smile

Weasel, what times are you usually online? And what's your pilot's name?

K6, inbox space cleared.

FlyingMonkey, the Sidey is a good ship to do stuff in, but it is not very good to be grinding in and definitely there are better ships that do the different roles better. Hence this program.

Thanks Ice!

I'll be on at 10PM GMT on Friday if that works for you. My in-game name is WeaselGX. I'm currently in Cadubi but can travel.

I should be able to make it on Friday. I've found it easier if I do the travelling plus it gets me out of my usual systems. Just double-check that Cadubi meets points #2 and #3.

I'll check on that Thursday night to make sure ... if not we can find a place that do.

So is Cadubi a good place to make the exchange? Or are we going someplace else?

Thanks Ice. Now I can start my career as a space trucker.

You don't necessarily need to be a space trucker. For me, it's a means to an end. The end goal is to have a few tricked out ships, but for that I need credits. Lots and lots of credits. I find it much more enjoyable whacking Anacondas with my Fer-de-Lance compared to using a Viper, laughing as he tries in vain to get through my shields, teasing him as he wears the shields down only to crush his hopes as I fire up a shield cell, all the while hammering him with a class 4 cannon and beam lasers that never seem to run out of juice.

Once you get a nice credit-grinding base down, it's easier to branch out and try out other stuff without worrying about "losing money."

Good luck!

Wow, that's really generous Ice. I'd love to get some time flying wings with some simhqers, I'm slow grinding in my sidewinder and can't see an end in sight. I'd love a Type 6 to get my Space trucker on, is this offer still open?

Of course it is! Follow the steps above to get access to your Type-6.

Also remember that when looking for a station that SELLS Palladium, you are looking under the "Buy" column. If it says "Sell" and gives a value and then it says "Buy" and all you get is a ---, then that means the station is buying Palladium (at the stated Sell price) but is not selling it (no Buy price). I know, I know, it's confusing.

Haha that was super confusing. In real life, it's totally the other way

Anybody wanna help me build an a-fitted Anaconda killer? I've got some Emperor's Grace griefers to settle a score with. Repeatedly.

Will do, Ice. I'll try to figure out which system has the best station for the selling of Pd and the buying of the ship. I am confused as the buy sell isn't intuitive. I have a station with a 14k sell price and a (-) under the buy column; does this mean the station sells Pd and buys Pd for the same price? My name is CMDR Behemoth The Cat. I'll post all the details you asked for in one post when I have all my ducks in a row. How do you avoid poaching during the hand off, My Sidey has at most 6T of cargo? With the longer leg ship I think I could join the SimHQ star system that's been talked about on the forums. I'd be glad to pay it forward to get all us in one spot.

A (-) under Buy column means I cannot buy from them.
