it is gonna be used as anti-aircraft derp shooting all 60 at once at a stuka. I know that much before I even see it.

Well, if you are stupid enough to be running around on the ground in your stuka you deserve all you get smile

I think it's just going to work like or at least, have the same effect as the game's artillery, with a very limited amount of charges. Plus, you will be stationary and visible on the entire battlefield when those rockets fly. Doubt it's going to be the next big nuisance, just a cool gimmicky tank.

Which will lead to German and Russian systems... all will have it.
The artillery we have at the moment is an off map system and works pretty well.
The new systems will be in game. Not sure how it may pan out. On the WT forums people are saying that this is what ruined WoT, but we will find out anyway.

That.is.freaking.awesome ! Excepting for the massive barrage into spawns from start. Wonder what the range was on these things ? Katyushas next please , and they need the howl that the Germans always talked about when they were inbound, also..Nebelwerfers.

The artillery that made WoT so awful has nothing to do with the Calliope or those type of rocket systems. That was actual howitzer artillery that was able to be fired with ridiculous precision. Plus, WoT works off a health-point system, rather than a more fleshed out component / penetration / crew damage system, meaning shells wouldn't just explode, glance off or just damage the suspension, it'd actually damage your entire tank to a point of destruction.

The Calliope also fires M8 rockets, planes carrying this in the game has trouble killing tanks, so you'd need to be hit with a large barrage of these to feel the full effect in the first place. So, given that fact that it's currently premium, has the stealth profile of an elephant, carries fairly weak rockets and will light up on the entire map when it fires, plus you can probably disable that rocket system with a well-placed shot, I honestly see no reason to worry.

Since most Stuka pilots attempting to bomb tanks there prefer to take the slowest, straightest, dead center, frontal approach possible, dare I say, they'll deserve it when it does happen smile

well, we´ll see how it will play out. But I am sort of sceptical that the small maps with several of those will not have some arti-rocket spamming..

Oh it will happen without a doubt, just saying, I've seen a heck of a lot of planes trying to bomb tanks that do so in a manner that would put them right in the line of fire of those things.
