M. Night is over-rated.

I guessed the ending of The Sixth Sense like 1/4 way into the movie.

He has never made a good movie and the latest one is worse than the previous one.

Maybe this one wont suck like his previous four films. I did like his first three though (Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs). "The Village" wasn't bad but it wasn't great either.

Just saw the trailer. Looks like it's geared for the teenage Paranormal Activity crowd.

Well, maybe he won't disappoint them if he aims low.

How can M. Night be over rated? For about the last half-dozen of his movies all I ever hear is how he sucks. biggrin

I really enjoyed unbreakable and was truly hoping for a follow up film.

I don't think he's that bad in general to be honest. But he is becoming a parody of himself.

I didn't think The Village was bad, but it have zero re-watch-ability.

But I did love Unbreakable and Sixth Sense. Signs was just ok.

Beware Uwe Boll

Well known film maker Uwe Boll invited several online movie critics over for a free trip to Vancouver where they will enter a boxing match against him. This does not end well for these kids.

Exactly. If he consistently is getting rated as "lousy director", his rating is in fact spot on!

Please name SOMEONE in the last 10 years who said he was was a great director, a visionary director, or even a competent director!

He's overrated when it comes to him getting funding for his films. Obviously he is somehow convincing studios and investors to give him money.

*shrug*

There are directors who've never done ANY good films, or at least not as good as his early ones did, and they still get work on a regular basis. He's not special in that respect, he's just more well known because of how well Sixth Sense did.

He's not the only one of course. It astounds me that the Wachowskis still get funding for big budget movies. I guess we'll see if the Jupiter Ascending fiasco will finally relegate them to making stuff for Netflix and/or art house films.

Good point but he's also cost studios several million dollars in losses unlike you!

What about all the films Rick decided not to go see? He's cost them hundreds of thousands anyway!
