I figured I could ask this in here.

My mum has given me a colour photo (150 x100) that she wants a copy of for a friend. Now this is not my area of expertise at all but she asked me and well,it's mum so I try to do my best.

I scanned the pic and then printed it onto some photo paper but it looks dull in comparison to the original.I only have a cheap printer/scanner could that be it?

I then downloaded Ashampoo Photo Optimiser 6 and just tried the 'optimise' function but the pic looked grainy and the colours wrong.I don't understand any of the manual functions so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated.

If anyone wants a copy of the pic to see what's what I'm sure I can oblige.

You could try increasing the colour saturation. I'd be happy to run the image through Photoshop if that would help.

I would be more than happy to let you do that Paul, assuming my scan is ok in the first place. What's the best way to get the pic to you?

*It's 640 KB btw.

Chucky, do you guys have any photo stores there, they have probably photo scanners that can do this better. Even our Walmart's have them here, my Mom has done this for us boys when we were younger. Can hardly tell it's a scanned photo.

A six pack? I wish.I've never had one and never will sigh

A big thanks to Paul Rix for sorting out the pic for me. My printer has had an aneurysm so I need to get someone else to print it off.I'll let you know how it looks.
