Howdy All,

Decided to return to basic and proper graceful-flying biggrin .

Maiden flight was yesterday, no nasty habits, it had been trimmed by an experten on Saturday.
Couple of passes along the runway with airbrakes down indicated that the thing had a fast sink-rate, and needed much more throttle than I had anticipated.
First landing was far from graceful, the next 4 landings got much better, even with a tricky crosswind.
Next real round loops... and staying in the box !

I'll write down all specs on a later post if anyone is interested, can't remember top of mind. This is my first large e-powered plane.

Cheers,
Slug

very nice plane, I need to get my RC quad out. Buying in the winter wasn't the best move I've made.

Nice! Such classic lines, everyone should own a pattern ship!

Hoping to get back into the hobby next spring! (A wedding to pay for this year apparently takes priority over hobbies rolleyes), as a local club just put in a paved runway (!!!!!!) EDF ROGS FTW!

Hehe, it's kinda funny... when I was still flying (almost 20 years ago) that size was the norm, as were petrol engines. Nowadays with the styroform quickbuilds and electro it's a monster.

Ironically though, "big foam" seems to be becoming more popular:
