It has been done before, but after changing to Win 8.1 Pro recently, I thought I try this setup out again, and it seems to work fine. I connected that old monitor in the DVI in, while the new, main one is connected at the HDMI port. Then I built a Marne map from Lou's "Marne North" map, for my "DiD Campaign". I made it the resolution of the old desktop. Now I threw it into the desktop images folder, selected it as desktop background, et voila - it is fully visible on the right monitor now, while the prime monitor will show me WOFF. This is easier to do than "Eyefinity", where you have WOFF on both monitors, combined to one big screen. (I never tried that out yet, and I guess it would be a bit hard for my graphic card.) But having a map on a second monitor is easy - the graphic card's "Catalyst Control Center" recognised the setup itself. Thanks a lot for your great, WOFF-related maps, Lou - they are priceless! PS: ...no, I do NOT have breakfast while I'm flying - I did that BEFORE I went to the mission room.

Same setup here with ATI graphics, main 27' Iiyama and second 24' Acer... except I don't have the same breakfast and I keep my fingers off Windows 8 ( some problems with FSX, and since I don't have a touchscreen, I don't need it. )
By the way, looking at the infos about Windows 10 possibly locking out other OS, I might stay with Windows 7 for a long time !

Haha, well Robert, I had scrambled eggs with estragon, chervil and thyme with it. But I also have raspberry jam, honey, and SCHWARTAU "thick-cut orange marmalade". Yummie! Wise man, Corsaire - I have been given Win 8.1 Pro for free and this allowed me to go 64bit with 8 GB memory. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it. I got rid of all the touch-screen stuff, that's not the problem. But Win 8 seems to be more restrictiv in several points.

Corsaire, do you have a link on the Win 10 "locking out other OS"? Here is one, but I got the info from several forums. http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2015/03/23/m...ntcmp=obnetwork

Thanks Corsaire. Another imposition by Microsoft on our personal choices! Hope it doesn't fly!

I'll have to try your setup Olham - I did have 3x19" screens in Eyefinity but had problems with getting the colours to match as two screens were Samsung and one was LG. Also the definition was not very good as they were all LCDs and not LEDs. So I bought an LG 27" screen and the 19 inchers are not used. I thought with Catalyst Control Center it was Eyefinity or nothing but will have to have another look at that!
I was upset with the original setup of the LG screen with HDMI as I had a one inch black border all the way round. As I had a bit of trouble with the HDMI cable I switched to D-sub and it is now perfect! From your picture you don't have this problem. Just a warning to the others on here....

Where is your home field, Jim? I can send you a map for Vosges-Alsace-Lorraine. It is an old colour map, with the Airfields marked by Iron Crosses or Entente roundels. Lou made it years ago. It is probably so large, that you'll need to cut it down to your area.

Thanks Olham, I have the map. With windows desktop settings you end up with the same desktop picture - Alsace in this case - on both monitors. I downloaded a free desktop piece of software from http://www.dexpot.de/?id=download and after a bit of mucking about managed to get the normal Windoze desktop on my right-hand monitor - the 27" one and the Alsace map on the left hand 19" monitor. This is ideal. I note the .de suffix so this is software from the 'dark side' As my Alsace pilot is German this is a good thing! I am flying from Morchingen which is right at the top of the map.

I note the .de suffix so this is software from the 'dark side' As my Alsace pilot is German this is a good thing! Well, you may have experienced the lot meanwhile - they aren't half as dark as they pretend, I guess. But it's always good to let the enemy live in that fear. Mmuahahahahaaa!!! I am flying from Morchingen which is right at the top of the map.
Jasta 16 or Jasta 32, per chance? I had two or three carreers from there - nice area with great landmarks - you can't get lost.

I am in FA 12Lb flying a DFW Vc. I somehow took my pilot on as a 'flieger' but I don't suppose the rank matters much in WOFF.
What does FA mean? And Lb? Obviously not a jagdstaffeln which is JA.
Out of interest my wife was born in Strasbourg which shows on the map as Strassburg. After the war of 1870 it was part of Germany for a while. Her mother used to cook more in the German than the French fashion, not that any of the family speak German. Me, I just eat what they cook!
Flying as a German is quite fun - the pictures and the videos change and are quite interesting.

FA means "Flieger-Abteilung", Jim (aviation division) FFA would be "Feld-Fliegerabteilung" (field aviation division). "Lb" means "Lichtbild" (photograph).
Yes, Straßburg is written with two "s" in German, or old style with "ß".

Olham, I was just reading through this thread and the photo in your original post has made me so hungry that I now must go grab a bite to eat.

That was rather a frugal breakfast, wasn't it? Or maybe not - I guess it depends where in this world one lives. You are lucky: you can make yourself a similar one. Enjoy your meal, Lou!
