Thanks Cat, I jumped on there too, that evens it up! If we can get Olham to jump on the Entente, I'll know the end is nigh!

Rick, Thanks for the offer. I went ahead and joined Jasta 12 and set the date to 1 July 1918 with my name of CW3SF . Flying only " practice combat " and will not fly missions until 11 April.
I hope the " Arthur Ritis " in my right wrist can go the distance.

Okay, that would be my 1st Challenge - and since there are no Spads involved, I'm in Hmm... SE or Fokker... difficult Decision. Both great Planes. This sure is something like the Porsche 959 vs Ferrari F40 Rivalry of the 80ies... I'll simply be the last one to enlist and take the Side that still needs a Player, so that the Numbers are Equal.

[quote=Rick_Rawlings] MFair, always a pleasure to have you on board, sir! We can try to out-live each other! Reminds me of the scene in "Open Range" just befor the big gunfight when Boss tells Charlie "sound like you got it all figured out", to which Charlie replies, "Yea, right up to the part where we don't get killed!"

Great movie, MFair, you could put Robert Duvall in a documentary on Mattress Salesmanship and he could probably make it interesting.
loftyc bean and kidney pie it is!

. Since Rick is being kind enough to host another one of his marvelous challenges as well as offering up that spiffing coffee mug as a prize I thought I would help out by sweetening the pot with the following: A good, sound, ex-library copy of the 1968 Doubleday hard cover printing, (in original dust jacket), of Duncan Grinnell-Milne's classic, "Wind in the Wires", first published in 1933. For those not familiar with this wonderful work, it is the memoirs of Grinnell-Milne's flying experiences in WWI including his time with 56 Squadron where he piloted the SE5a. This is the companion volume to his lesser-known work, "An Escaper's Log", first published in 1926, which tells of his time in a German POW camp earlier in the War and his eventual escape and return to service. .

Two walked into a bar, the third one ducked._________________________________________________________________________ Former Cold War Warrior, USAF Security Service 1974-1978, E-4, Morse Systems Intercept, England, Europe, and points above.
