I almost feel sorry for this thread. I set it loose and told it to run out and spread joy . . . now I see it lying like E.T. in that ditch all grey and near death. The main difference being that I will drink my gin and juice and watch it die as opposed to letting it drag me down like stupid Elliot. I still have lots of Far Cry 4 to play, sorry E.T.

I was hyped for some first person GTA ar15 then I saw the recommended specs... Yeah. I won't be playing this one for a while... (or even downloading it with my 20GB monthly cap banghead )

This is Bobby Rahal, thanks for playing the trial version of Microsoft's CART Precision Racing

GTA...meh. Now if it had been Red Dead Redemption, we'd be celebrating! But I don't want that announcement on 4/1.

RDR with a FPS mode would be epic!

At one point I wanted it quite a bit, but right now I just feel it's a dirty move to have the PC version take over a year longer than the console version and still insist on full price. Sure it's new for PC, but the game itself doesn't warrant full price when PC customers have to stand that crappy treatment.

I'm with you, totally looking forward to GTAV as well unfortunately for me it going to be a while until I can build a new PC thats capable of running it. I was saving money and was more than half way to my goal then life reared its head and sucked my PC savings account down the drain. But its cool I can wait it out I've always been a big fan of the series and owned all the titles and think they're all great. I especially love the atmosphere and the great tongue in cheek humor of the series.

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

Bought this for my son for our Xb1, still not overly impressed. Had it for my 360 and I returned it 3 weeks in, just didn't like it.

It's not something I would let my son play. But that's an argument for the politics forum smile

AHHH the GTA series. When it first plopped out there it was trying to be shocking. Now, its just a creepy old guy doing creepy things.

No idea if I will pick it up.

It's definitely an impressive game (graphics and geographical extension wise)...
But I've finished through GTA 3, Vice city and San Andreas in the past 10 years- I've reached halfway GTA IV and I simply couldn't bear it anymore...

Dunno, can't express precisely enough WHY I don't like them-
It's not against SandBox games, I love them in fact.

For comparison Batman Arkham Asylum and City I finished them 100% and so with Watchdogs.

*cough cough* Elite *cough cough*

I have many more but somehow... there's something about coherency (or lack of) that keeps me to them or drives me away after a while...

TL;DR- Not buying it. Not even "the alternative free option".

lol, had that same argument w/his Mom, he only plays the MP, no worse than the stuff he sees and hears in Middle School or in BF games.

Even the parental LINK I sent her had most parents saying it was fine for his age. I don't let my younger play it, I wouldn't let him play it earlier when he kept asking. He's almost 14, A/B student.

Probably no worse than when we were kids playing outside with our guns and killing real things and then eating them... But the SP store... it was almost not safe for me to play it lol.

I had it for a time on the 360 and then got rid of it. Got it again for PS4 and it definitely looked nice but like others, story-wise its just not my cup of tea. Its a great game engine for exploring and escape but I just hate the characters. I got rid of the PS4 version too.

I too would much prefer a Red Dead Redemption on pc and a Red Dead sequel.

RDR Sequel in First Person (or #1 with updated GFX)

Hell yes!

Can't play a gangster either, it's not in my genes. The same engine and setting could be quite well used for an undercover cop story though, with a fair bit of think work required but also action. Or something a bit more secret agent style.

I love all the GTA games, though IV was a bit bland character-wise and lacking much of the humour the series is famous for. GTA V, though, love it! Especially Trevor and his un-PC-ness! smile

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Rockstar was supposed to come out with a secret agent game called "Agent". I like period piece gangster like Mafia and Mafia II.

99% of the music in GTA5 is crap. So much rap.... so much hiphop crap frown I always just turn the radios off when I get in a car. On the xbox I just turned music off all together.
