LINK  Productivity in offices across the world is about to hit an all-time low, thanks to the latest release from Google.
Google Maps now lets you turn any location into a game of Pac-Man.
A new Pac-Man button in the lower left corner of the screen transforms whatever section of the world you're looking at into the arcade classic, complete with four colorful ghosts and the iconic music.
The hack works on both desktop and mobile devices. I just played in Boston, you have to have a lot of streets on your map. Tried playing local and it wouldn't work so it brought up one of my searches of Phoenix

Not a joke. I just played it on Google Maps., though my location didn't have enough roads & I had to let the app choose a random city. Adlabs - there are power ups.

Yep, ran through my neighborhood here in Virginia a few times now in Firefox browser on PC.
If you get a message that there are not enough roads just move the map around a bit and try again.
if you just hover mouse over the pac-man box in lower left it will show highlighted play area so just get it over a part of your neighborhood where there are enough roads to play.

I played maybe 10 hrs total of that game. I just never found it very compelling.

It's the April 1st google maps thing.
I forget what it was last year, but two years ago
there was a treasure hunt. ..just looked it up -
2014 was a Pokemon game.
just read a link, this isn't their April Fools joke, apparently this will be around for a little while. LINK Google has long enjoyed April Fools' Day fun, but unlike Google Nose and Gmail Motion, the new Pac-Man Street View feature is not a prankunless the joke is on people who've lost hours munching dots around the world.
