Seemed odd to me too. Digging a bit in the Dev blog came out a scheme that shows how they are rotating on a week-based turn system the countries involved. And I assume different tiers.
My understanding, but this IS an interpretation, is that the old Realistic Battles became what were before Simulator Battles.
And the formerly named Simulator Battles are now Simulated events.
I'm a bit uncomfortable with this. Not sure why they peeled off one nice layer of gameplay like that...
To be honest we lack the number of players in each mode, for each day so maybe it was redundant... but still.

New SB is up... again locked out because I don't have the vehicles to participate... this is a farce! So, I can only play RB or arcade, neither has any pleasure in it for me. Been checking on their forums... quite a few pages of very pissed off people. If this is simply a transition phase, why on earth release something that isn't ready??? If this is here to stay, then the game is pretty much useless to me now. I've purchased some vehicles that I can no longer use due to this latest patch.

Chuckers is not happy! I just waited over 22 minutes to try to get into a Tank Simulator Battle with my only qualifying vehicle,a M16 MGMC.In the end I gave up. In the words of The Mighty Jingles.... 'Go home Warthunder, you're drunk'!

Strange that Chuckers: no family at home yesterday so our 1.8mbs was mine all mine! Had a good few number of events games with instantaneous connection. Can't play today though, not got or interested in the kit and scenario.

I wouldn't normally wait longer than a few minutes (I'm an impatient old sod) but I really wanted to play SB.Wasn't sure if that sort of wait happens much,I guess it does for some.
It's lucky that I enjoy Arcade Battles so much but when I see the results other get in SB I sometimes fancy a bit of that action.

Can't play arcade, I get no enjoyment from it whatsoever.. RB hate it, but it's the only option now if you can't get into SB. Same for me trooper, except I am not going to play RB. Luckily for me I have 6 - 12 PzU guys I can play a custom battle #3 and no AI with, we take our time, get each team in a separate TS room and have some fun. Often we agree not to cap as we are only small teams, the game stills gives you a winning side for the most kills.

Yeah, but honestly I don't mind Realistic Battles now. My only problem with the way things were was the enemy minimap icons and markets. I prefer SB but I do enjoy RB a little more now and with events like today's I can still play and enjoy it.

I find RB total rubbish mate I have to say... there is nothing 'realistic' about fighting with American, German and Russian tanks against American, German and Russian tanks... it might as well have been called 'realistic arcade' mode...
