The change has been implemented, but have I missed something?
When you go to the new 'simulator battles' tab, you just get taken to the events battles... which has a restrictive amount of vehicles that can be used as you all know... in effect we have lost the ability to use all our vehicles that we have bought or achieved through the 'grind' in simulator mode...
Does anyone have more up to date info on this? Because at the moment it's pants... if you don't have those vehicles for that particular battle, you can't play in it!

Seemed odd to me too.
Digging a bit in the Dev blog came out a scheme that shows how they are rotating on a week-based turn system the countries involved.
And I assume different tiers.

My understanding, but this IS an interpretation, is that the old Realistic Battles became what were before Simulator Battles.

And the formerly named Simulator Battles are now Simulated events.

I'm a bit uncomfortable with this. Not sure why they peeled off one nice layer of gameplay like that...

To be honest we lack the number of players in each mode, for each day so maybe it was redundant... but still.

SB and the SB event servers were always pretty much full most of the time as they were so popular.
This new system will make things even more crowded!
That 'rotation' of different countries was in the air simulation bracket not in the ground forces side... they certainly did not make that clear, plus, that link was from Feb, not this month, so it may not be entirely accurate.
I'm hoping they are still in transition stage, because they have pretty much messed it all up at the moment.

New SB is up... again locked out because I don't have the vehicles to participate... this is a farce!
So, I can only play RB or arcade, neither has any pleasure in it for me.

Been checking on their forums... quite a few pages of very pissed off people.
If this is simply a transition phase, why on earth release something that isn't ready??? nope
If this is here to stay, then the game is pretty much useless to me now. I've purchased some vehicles that I can no longer use due to this latest patch.

They have a new SB out... I'm severely handicapped in what I can take into it.
I can take The Chaffee and two half tracks, that's it... no main battle tank frown

Chuckers is not happy! I just waited over 22 minutes to try to get into a Tank Simulator Battle with my only qualifying vehicle,a M16 MGMC.In the end I gave up.

Yes, made myself a cuppa yesterday while waiting... after I had drank it, it was still coming up to 20 mins and still not got in... sacked it in frustration!

Damn. Longest I've ever waited is 6 minutes. And I thought that was long!

Strange that Chuckers: no family at home yesterday so our 1.8mbs was mine all mine! Had a good few number of events games with instantaneous connection.
Can't play today though, not got or interested in the kit and scenario.

I wouldn't normally wait longer than a few minutes (I'm an impatient old sod) but I really wanted to play SB.Wasn't sure if that sort of wait happens much,I guess it does for some.

It's lucky that I enjoy Arcade Battles so much but when I see the results other get in SB I sometimes fancy a bit of that action.

Can't play arcade, I get no enjoyment from it whatsoever.. RB hate it, but it's the only option now if you can't get into SB.

Same for me trooper, except I am not going to play RB. Luckily for me I have 6 - 12 PzU guys I can play a custom battle #3 and no AI with, we take our time, get each team in a separate TS room and have some fun.

Often we agree not to cap as we are only small teams, the game stills gives you a winning side for the most kills.

Yeah, but honestly I don't mind Realistic Battles now. My only problem with the way things were was the enemy minimap icons and markets. I prefer SB but I do enjoy RB a little more now and with events like today's I can still play and enjoy it.

I find RB total rubbish mate I have to say... frown there is nothing 'realistic' about fighting with American, German and Russian tanks against American, German and Russian tanks... it might as well have been called 'realistic arcade' mode...

I've only been in one RB that was mixed since the update and I've played over a dozen battles. Maybe I've been lucky.

I haven't encountered a mixed yet. Believe that happens when it can't find enough players within an allotted time. Maybe add both US and EU regions to the search, to cut down on mixed battles?

With the removal of markers, I'm slowly making a full move over to RB.
